This is the worst hotel ever!

The wifi does not work, the people are rude and don't speak anything but italian. The breakfast was a piece of bread with ants all over it and a tiny cup of coffee. No soap or shampoo provided. She charged us 5 euros for a phone call to a local phone and she didn't give us the change back from the payment. She went into our room and stole items from our bag. It was the worst experience and i wish i could get my money back because i was robbed!

Great location, large room, not well maintained

While this hotel had the location we needed (south of Arno, near Ponte Vecchio), it had some issues. Bathroom down the hall was not very clean. When toilet paper ran out, it took most of the day for it to be replaced. Shower doors would not close all the way and fell off multiple times. Our room was cleaned after the first night, but not after the 2nd or 3rd nights (beds not made, trash not emptied, etc.) Breakfast was adequate, staff seemed nice. Absolutely no English, so communication was difficult. There was a small elevator, which was wonderful.

I arrived late in Florence and the airline lost my luggage, so the last thing I needed was to get to the hotel (could barely find it - no signage and if I didn't bump into a building resident I would never have know it was on the 3rd floor) and have thm tell me I had no room and be turned away. I do not beloeve this operation is compatible with online booking.

the list is long. the b&b owner spoke no English and she kept putting her hand on her forehead as if we were just too much for her to handle. She had no way to take our credit card and kept demanding cash. then didn't have any receipt papers. charged us double the city tax. power outlets in room didn't work. no Wi-Fi except in a small part of the dining room. no toilet paper in bathroom in the morning. on the good side, the beds were comfy and the room large and clean. didn't feel very welcomed though. couldn't wait to leave.

Great room!

While this place was difficult to find, it ended up being a great quality place to spend the night! The beds were soft and comfortable, the entire place was clean and cozy, and the breakfast was especially nice. While the woman running the place does not speak English, we still seemed to manage with communication just fine. All this for a great price and location very close to the Ponte Vecchio, with easy access to the city by foot. Overall, a great stay!
