Location: Perfect
Being one block away from the the Duomo, the location absolutely can not be beaten. Also just a few minutes walk to Uffizzi, Academia, and Ponte Vecchio. It is a 15 minute walk from the train station or a very short cab ride. Staff was great. Always willing to help with directions, weather, recommendations.... Rooms were clean and well kept, if a bit dated. They were exceptionally large, though, even by American standards. There is also a neat little patio/courtyard that makes hanging out easy. Very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again when in Florence.

Pros: Location, Location, Location. Free WiFi and free breakfast were also huge pluses.
Cons: The entrance/stairway was dark and uninviting, this could easily be improved. Once on the 1st floor, the hotel was much more pleasant.
Location: PERFECT location: 15 minute walk from train station, 2 minutes from the duomo, 5 min from the Uffizi, 10 min from the Accademia. Absolutely perfect.
The hotel is nothing near luxurious, it's behind a scarcely marked door and up a sketchy staircase, but the rooms are more than adequate (clean and comfortable enough). There's free wifi plus free breakfast which help outweigh any negatives, but most importantly its in the very heart of town. Terrific location trumps all and warrants a stay.

Noisiest Hotel in my Life

Breakfast was awful. The room had a bed as hard as rock. The noise kills me. This is the noisiest hotel I have been.

The hotel is right on one of the main streets, which was convenient but loud at night. the staff was friendly and fluent at english.

It is right in the center of town. A lot of walking, streets to busy for cabs. Florence has two train stations, be carefull.

Excellent location!!! About 50m from the duomo. Walk out the front door and you're right in the thick of the action. Front desk staff were very helpful and friendly. Room was relatively large, for Europe, clean and quiet. This is a great place to stay.

Pros: The staff was friendly and helpful
Cons: The main entrance was dark with a missing carpet causing a potential hazard.
Location: Great location next to the Duomo and good restaurants.
The room was surprisingly quiet considering the busy area of it's location. The breakfast buffet was just OK, but not too many choices. We were never able to get any English speaking TV, although people at Reception said we should.
