Simple, clean, no-frills b& bPosted Aug 2, 2014
Cons: Breakfast very limited.
Location: Fair walk to city centre but excellent bus services nearby.
On fairly busy road so traffic noise inevitable. Restaurant adjacent with good food. B &B formed from one of 3 first floor apartments in the building.

Very nice placePosted Jul 18, 2014
Pros: Having a good host is priceless.
Apartment is just as advertised, and Stefano, the host, was welcoming and very helpful with any inquiries about Florence. Restrooms are shared, but it's never been a hassle - they are clean and always well maintained. For a reasonable price, you will have a good base for you explorations of Firenze - old town is about 25 min walking distance. Thank you, Stefano, for your hospitality.

Nice little B&BPosted Jul 9, 2014
This was probably the best place we stayed in during our Europe trip. Quiet neighborhood, bigger rooms than any of our cheap hotels, nice staff. Bathrooms are shared but there are 2 for 6 rooms & we didn't really have any problems. Staff gave us a map & directions to various locations. Free wifi. We really enjoyed staying here.

Out of the Way Place to StayPosted May 25, 2014
Pros: I liked the peaceful, nontouristy surroundings and the accessibility to a grocery store, beach, and restaurants.
Cons: It would be better for me if the owner banned smoking from indoors.
Location: Lido is an island off of Venice that makes a good base for visiting Venice. The beach there is free.
This bed and breakfast was very clean and accessible. It's only a five-minute walk to the vaporetto. 5.1 takes you from Venice to Lido. 5.2 takes you from Lido to Venice. The breakfast is good and served on the second-story balcony. The room was large and the shared bathroom was very nice -- vintage. The owner will answer questions prior to your arrival by email.

Great Stay!Posted Jan 9, 2014 on Hotels.com
Lovely building, big room, kind and helpful service, great neighborhood. Very happy with our stay, only thing is the bed was a bit uncomfortable for those with bad backs and necks (like myself), but everything else was superb, I highly recommend it if you want to stay in an affordable, quiet neighborhood (cheap & delicious cafe on the corner of Cure bus stop- must go!), & easy to reach public transport to city centre! Thank U Stefano!

Excellent value for the price!Posted May 21, 2013 on Hotels.com
Huge room - comfortable furnishings - excellent price. Lucca and Stephano were helpful hosts and took care of all our requests. The location was not in the center of things but an easy bus ride or cab ride away. Very cool 123 year old flat in a neighborhood - loved staying in a historical place!

Lovely Stay! Beautiful B&BPosted Nov 19, 2012 on Hotels.com
Me and my boyfriend stayed here for 3 nights. At first i wasn't keen on the idea of a shared bathroom but when we arrived and i saw how clean the room and bathroom was it didn't bother me at all. We had a very comfortable and relaxing stay. Stefano was very helpful and friendly and made me a delicious coffee each day :-)

Excellent base for exploring FlorencePosted Jul 10, 2012 on Hotels.com
I was at B&B Sensi for 4 days with my wife. We both were very pleased by the quality of this place. Clean, nicely decorated and functional room, excellent welcome. Everything as advertised, we had no surprise. It's a bit out of the tourist center but we had no problem either using the bus or walking to our room. It felt safe even at night. We would go back there for aure and we recommend this place to everybody.

B&B 5 Sensi in Florence- comfort, clean, charmingPosted Oct 18, 2011 on Hotels.com
My daughter and I loved this hotel. Not only was it affordable, it was close to the bus stop which enabled us to travel at a nominal fee all over Florence. Perhaps the best thing about our hotel was the kindness and willingness of Luca and Stefano to help us when we checked in. We are American and speak little Italian. No matter, they welcomed us and made every effort to answer our questions and take time to give us directions all over Florence. These two wonderful gentlemen and the charming hotel are a must to stay with. In fact we enjoyed it so much we made another trip to Florence to stay at B&B 5 Sensi and enjoy the beautiful city one more time. If you do stay there, the restaurant next door, Re Mateo, is delicious. It is nice to know that after a tiring day touring or shopping you can literally walk next door for a quality meal. I would never go to Florence without staying here. This is the only hotel as far as I am concerned. Thank you for providing travelers with your hotel!
