Nice place, bad service

Posted May 12, 2015
Pros: Is well located and clean.
Cons: Put friendly staff in the front desk, some one who cares about guests and not threat them like a bothersome.
Location: I visited lots of local museums and old buildings, plus enjoying nice restaurants within downtown. Besides taking some tours, only 1 was good.
The initial welcome was nice and friendly, after that and old man is in charge, he does not hear very well he does not speak enough english and is quite loud. Pretty early on the morning you can hear this man playing with the electric switch and talking out loud; a modest breakfast is included small bread, jelly, juice, coffee, milk, etc. This person will micromanage what you eat and what you do, he refers to guests as stupid people if they do not finish entirely their meals and its proud that americans do not like him. If you leave the lights on in your room even for taking a short walk he will turn them off (that's right, no privacy). During checkout this man demanded payment quite aggressively, I asked him kindly to call expedia, I thought the expense was covered, he refused and insisted that I should access my bank account from his computer. I had 3 people treating me like a theft during my checkout, he did put his daughter on the phone and she was kind enough to let us go while clarifying the issue. Guests are a bothersome for this person, the place is nice but is not worth it. There is no remote for the AC so be ready for mosquito bites because you have to leave the window slightly open. For this hotel cost reduction is more important than to provide a pleasant experience/service to guests. I'll never use this B&B again.

We were given a studio near the Ponte Veccio. Excellent room with all facilities, giving the feeling that we rented a home in Florence. minutes walk from all important sites.

Toppenläge nära till ALLT

B & B med ett mycket bra läge mitt i hjärtat av Firenze. Bruno, en värd som är mycket mån om sina gäster. Kommer mycket troligt att återvända dit vid mitt nästa besök

Nice apt close to all the action of Florence

Posted Oct 21, 2014
Pros: location
Our room was not at the main location, but across the Arno, one very short block from the Ponti Vecchio. Great location, very close to great restaurants too. We needed to tell them our arrival time so someone would be there to check us in. The apt was roomy, clean and a great location

Best location in Florence

Posted Oct 16, 2014 on Hotels.com
Badia Fiorentina is in the most wonderful location in Florence, centrally located, close to everything and a short walk to all the sites. It is not a real hotel, it is a guest house so it does not have any of the amenities of a hotel, and there is a few flights of stairs to climb up, but it does have Bruno who is the loveliest hotelier we have met. He was beyond helpful if getting us reservations for the Uffizzi and the Academia, also restaurants and a taxi.
