“Outstanding Florence Hotel Benivieni”
Very nice hotel right in the heart of Florence, Italy. Close to the Duomo and easy walking distance to all the historic areas of Florence. Great people and excellent service. Breakfast is delightful and set in a cheerful room. We'll be back to stay there again.
“Great intro to Florence!”
My daughter, wife, and I shared a room here for two nights in late November. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is located right near the Duomo, in the central Firenze historical district, but was still quiet and unobtrusive. Staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful, providing excellent touring and dining recommendations. The room was larger than I had expected--particularly as it had to accommodate three of us--and was very clean. All sites, shopping, and dining were within easy walking distance.
“it was perfect”
location, condition, friendliness, comfort couldn't have been better!!
“Excellent Hotel Close to Major Florence Sites”
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful. When we had trouble finding our train schedule they were able to look it up for us. This saved us a 5 euro fee for internet or a walk to the train station (15 minutes). The room was comfortable. The bathroom was clean and modern. We had a view only of the courtyard behind the hotel. There was some noise in the evenings from nearby restaurants, residents and church bells. This hotel is located very close to the Duomo in the center of Florence; it is about 200 yards away. It is also a short walk (10 minutes) to the Uffizi and Academia Galleries. It is a longer walk (15 - 20 minutes) to the Ponte Vechio and Pitti Palace. If you are walking from the train station we would have been lost without our detailed map. The rate we paid was very reasonable. I would recommend this hotel to anyone vacationing in Florence.
“Would definetly stay here again”
Loved this hotel. Convenient to everything. Owners very helpful. When we go back will stay here again. We have stayed all over Italy and would consider this a 5 star.
“Definitely a keeper!”
I was pretty nervous about staying in a three-star hotel in Italy. The tripadvisor rating (#5 out of 350+ Florence hotels) and it's location convinced me to try it. The employees were wonderful - I got truly terrific service from each one I met. They were very flexible and helpful. The room was small and plain, but super clean. The bathroom was also small, but extremely clean. The location truly couldn't have been better - it was right in the middle of the sites I was visiting. And, the room was very quiet, even though it was in the middle of the old town. When I return to Florence, I will definitely stay here again.
“Great Place to stay with family”
This family run hotel was a great find. Besides it being clean and seemingly newly renovated, the service was very friendly and the morning breakfasts were great. The breakfast included croissants (plain and chocolate - the best we tasted in Italy), cereal, egg sandwiches and ham and cheese sandwiches. Our espressos and cappucinos were made by the owner's son every morning and were also very good. The free WiFi was an added bonus which we all took advantage of. The only item that I didn't mark as a 5 was the comfort jsimply because we were 4 people in a room, but the room was more than we ever expected. Having stayed in hotels in Rome and Venice before we hit Florence, this was our absolute favorite. It is located very close to the Duomo (5 min) and a short walk from the train station (maybe 1 mile?). If we ever go back to Florence, we will definitely revisit, Benivieni.
“Great Location, Great Staff, and Just Right.”
Five nights at The Benivieni were great. The Benivieni is very well located, charming, very hospitable, and one of the quietest hotels I've been at in Florence. There is some sound from the crowds visiting GROM, the local (and wonderful) gelateria, but that's only until 10 pm. And maybe you'll be among them at GROM. The double room was very comfortable with a good bathroom, very small but modern shower, and modern climate control. The owners and staff were extremely helpful to me, and especially to my two travelling companions who were on their first visit to Florence. Their room was on the front toward GROM. Mine was always quiet, facing a small passage behind the hotel.
“Location Location Location”
This was a quaint hotel that satisfied all our needs. The staff was very attentive and helpful, the location was great. They offer a true European continental breakfast and free wireless internet. We felt very welcome and were very happy with the accommodations. Everything was very clean, the bed was comfortable and housekeeping took care of our every need. The room was smaller than we are used to, and our shower was small, other rooms may have a bigger shower. If you are looking for a hotel that is like a big chain in the states you may not be happy. There are plenty of restaurants and shops next door and across the street. The Doumo is a block and a half away, located a few blocks from where Dante lived, a few blocks away from the Accademia Gallery where Michelangelo’s’, Statue of David is on display, close to the amazing ponte Vecchio bridge, (great views), the Palazzo Pitti and within walking distance of the central train station. We would definitely stay here at the Hotel Benivieni again. Bring a camera and comfortable walking shoes. Divertiti, Ciao .
