“Enjoyed the stay”

I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. The room was a good size and the bathroom was clean and the shower pressure was very good. The bed was a little hard but for 5 days good enough. There is a pungent smell that permeates the hotel especially in the lobby area and parts of the stairwell. I really liked the location because it wasn't right in the middle of the city center (so not noisy at night) and the buses were very accessible. Definitely nothing to do right around the hotel but it was close enough for us to walk into the city centre several times instead of taking the bus which was quite nice (about 25 mins). I would recommend this hotel to others, I felt I got my money's worth.

“Excelent for Milan”

The parking is 13 EUR which was unexpected. The hotel is very nice, well maintained. There is wifi everywhere. Breakfast was ok. Not so many choices, but enough in my oppinion (not my whife's). I parked the car in the street and it was ok. There is nothing much to do in the neighbourhood so for a nice meal you might have to travel. The room was ok and it is very fair for the price.

“Good hotel, very good service from the front desk people.”

After staying in several European hotels it was nice to find some American confort at the best western. They offer wi-fi (although we had to pay for it) it was good to have it available...hard thing to find in Europe Breakfast was included, I just wish milk and yogurt were cold and not at room temp. like everything else in Europe

“Best Western hotel in Florence”

Very nice hotel in a good location not far from the train station. Ideal as a base for traveling my train to various destinations such as Venice, Pisa, etc. Our room (#109) must have been the worse one in the whole hotel. It was extremely noisy, both from the lobby and the street and very smelly. It smelled like sewage. The smell was also present outside the room and might have been a temporary problem unique to our room location. I hope.

“Experience Real Florence”

Florence is a beautiful city of fine art and architecture - it's also Italian, old and 'lived-in'. This hotel epitomises what Florence is really like as opposed to the chocolate box image. While it had really interesting artwork on almost every wall and corridor, it also exhibited a real Florentine taste for reproduction in the tromp d'oeil and painted cabinets (and flaking paintwork). The room was warm and comfortable, with grand imposing furniture and shutters with which you wrestled to open. It had a spotless bathroom, in which you occassionally caught the whiff of the drains out in the street. The area wasn't convenient - a half hour stumble across pitted pavements and ringroads to the centre, until we discovered the fast, frequent and cheap buses straight to the centre - and looked very down-at-heel, until we found the friendly little square with its market stall, pizzeria, butchers, papershop, hairdressers and fish seller with trays of octapus - everything your urban Italian could need!

“Far from City Center”

This hotel is located on the other side of town and is far from the main tourist sites in Florence. It's a twenty minute walk to the train station, but I recommend a taxi if you have luggage. Bus service is cheaper, but trying to figure out which bus to take is confusing. The hotel surrounding is mostly residential and realtively safe. I was okay with walking around during the day and early night. The hotel is old and has a moldy smell with noticable mold growth in the shower. The room was normal size for Europe and was clean. The air conditioning was weak. It worked but could not cool down the room. The staff was friendly and the free breakfast was good. Wi-fi internet connection was nice and free (stated on the hotel's website). The hotel was okay for the price. But I would choose another hotel closer to the city center next time. I'm 33 and okay with a 30 minute walk to get to the sites, but older people might not enjoy it. I also wouldn't recommend this hotel in the summer- the A/C isn't very good.

“Satisfactory Hotel”

Florence is beautiful in many places- where this hotel is, however, is not one of them. It is a good half hour walk to the centre of Florence, but if you don't mind a bit of exercise and chance to take in the local environment like myself then thats ok! The hotel has small rooms, which basically mean you have to watch the TV on the bed and not an armchair, which is a bit uncomfortable. However, they are clean and have all amenities necessary including good air con. The hotel also provided me with an adaptor plug. The reception staff were friendly and my only real complaint is the breakfast. The juice was watered down and warm, the milk was warm and far too creamy, the bread was stale, the cereals were cheap, the jam selection was poor and the room was tiny. One day they brought out some fruit and that was pretty much the highlight of the breakfast experience! However I would consider this hotel to be good value for those on a budget!

Been in better, been in worse Pay more, get more Had tp park on street (difficult and not cheap) as their lot was closed early when i had to leave

“Not impressed at all - especially for Best Western standards”

Location of hotel on the outskirts of Florence was not too bad with suitable parking (which is difficult in Italy), and staff at reception did their best to make the stay a good one BUT the hotel is very old, in dire need of maintenance, and particularly for a so-called air conditioned hotel, well, the fan kindly borrowed from reception was cooler! Room size was cramped, and all in all, not a place that I could recommend - even though a three star, I am comparing it to other three star Best Western hotels in Italy, and have to say that in terms of quality or value for money, this falls far below the line.
