The reception/ concierge staff were very helpful with restaurant recommendations and arranging a very knowledgeable tour guide for 4 hours. We liked him so much that we booked him for another day!

Very central hotel, ideal for walking everywherePosted May 6, 2014
Pros: Spotless, comfortable, and very friendly and helpful staff
Cons: . The control of the room air conditioning system was very hit and miss. The toast making machine at breakfast was very slow even turned up to maximum
Location: Within a stones throw of the Duomo. All Florence's major renaissance sites are nearby
First visit to Florence. Needed good hotel in centre of town. This was ideal. The hotel was spotless and the staff could not have been more helpful. Our room was small but had everything we needed. Being british we prefer a bath to a shower but the shower was really good. The TV had some english language channels and news but we did not use it at all. We were able to walk to all the principal Art and sculpture sites , and the beautiful gardens, without difficulty. Not a cheap hotel but you get what you pay for. We will go back.

My wife and I enjoyed Florence of all the places we visited on our honeymoon. Hotel is a five star as are the staff. Central for touring and shopping and restaurants.

Good Location but Noisy RoomPosted Feb 26, 2014 on Hotels.com
Stay at the Hotel was very average. Not a welcoming place. Some staff were lovely but others were pretentious and made me feel like I was not welcome there. Staff at breakfast made me feel non existent. Room was spacious and clean but sparse. Location is great for sight seeing but on a busy street and noise was so loud at night I had to buy ear plugs to get to sleep. Also very distinctive noise from bathroom in room above mine. Despite complaining to reception, nothing was done. Room service very expensive due to service fee. Not recommended for solo travellers looking for a place to feel welcome. Would not stay again.

Pros: We had travelled for 5 weeks all over Italy, France and Switzerland and this hotel was by far the most romantic, thoughtful, perfectly located.
Location: Right in the heart of Florence, 2 minute walk to the Duomo.
My new husband and I recently stayed at the Brunelleschi hotel for two nights on our Honeymoon. We arrived at 12 and was greater with warm smiles, we asked for a good recommendation of a restaurant with good views of the Ponte Vecchio and some options were given to us. We decided on one and the concierge Sergio phoned and booked us a table. The restaurant led us to a beautiful table overlooking the water and treated us like celebrities. Upon return to our hotel, we were told our bags had been taken up to our room and that we had been upgraded to a special room as we were on our Honeymoon. The concierge personally escorted us to our room, showing us on the way the breakfast room, gym and other facilities. Upon arriving in our room we were blown away by the stylish furniture and interior decoration. The suite was Huge, we had a separate lounge room, double ensure, wir, and a four poster bed. The concierge opened the curtain in the bedroom, and behold the Duomo in full sunset glory. We were speechless!! On the desk was a bottle of champagne on ice with compliments of the staff and general manager with a personal note, congratulating us on our nuptials.

hotel was fine, but I asked the front desk if they had laundry service....they did. upon checkout I learned how impressive they think their service is. To wash 2 pairs of pants, 8 pairs under ware 8 pairs shocks and 8 cotton shirts it was 168 Euro!!!!..One load of laundry should be about $25 dollars max.
