The hotel staff was quite courteous and the location was great. The room was small and had an old time charm and also quite clean, but it was noisy at times as it was lcoated right next to the stairs. The toilet would also not flush at times. The breakfast was great too. I would definitely recommend this place.

This was an average hotel. It was clean - everyone was nice. However, the air conditioning in the room did not work. It was hot and stuffy. Also they need to change the time of their breakfast. We had a tour to go on and we couldn’t eat or have coffee before we left. Most places start at 7

This hotel is nothing like the pictures, it is very outdated. Our room was extremely dirty with hair everywhere from the previous guests, the dust buildup on everything was gross. The shower was clogged, toilet seat kept falling apart. The closeness of the different attractions is definitely further than written.

Such a beautiful hotel! The receptionist with blond/brown curly hair with glasses was very kind and smiled often. The rest of the women weren't so warm and welcoming. Abdi (short for Abdullah) was a star employee. He was the one person running around every day from helping in the restaurant during breakfast to being a bellboy. He was friendly and attentative at all times. He made it clear that he wanted me to have a good stay. I complained of having to shower in cold water for the 3 days, but the warm water only came for one day after the complaint. Fortunately the hotel provided a room upgrade, but it was only a day before my check out. Overall, though, I thought the hotel was great and I would recommend it to family and friends traveling to Florence.

Staff was friendly, very nice. Bartender was great and made nice cocktails. Cool little hotel in a solid location. Some of the rooms are definitely outdated though. At first I booked a twin room and it was awful, bugs in bathroom, extremely tiny room. I then upgraded for 30 euros a night more for a queen room and it was very good and AC was great.

We were in Florence for less than 24 hours so this hotel worked perfectly for us. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived in the morning so we stored our luggage and headed out to explore Florence. We liked the location of this hotel a lot. The staff was very friendly and helpful when we needed taxis. It was very hot in Florence when we were there (August) so the AC could have been better but I think it was just so hot no amount of AC would have helped. The bed was comfortable and the hotel itself is very cute and has a fun history. We would definitely stay here again.

As a single traveller, I do not recommend this hotel. At nighttime, I did not feel safe walking to the hotel. My room was left unlocked two days in a row. There were dry pee stains on my toilet. Housekeeping needs to take better care.

Overall nice and convenient
There are big pros - centrally located on a quiet street, good breakfast that’s free, charming environment. You have to be ok with old fashioned rooms and plumbing. Desk was very friendly and helpful.

Although the room was reasonably nice, the amenities were quite limited. No iron, no fridge (full of food/drinks that cost money), no microwave, no ice, somewhat poor quality food at breakfast. For the price of this hotel, we expected more for the money.
