“Lovely”

I stayed here for one night this week before my study abroad program began. Called up when I got there, and the receptionist came downstairs with my keys, so I didn't have to drag my luggage up 3 flights of stairs! She was extremely kind and spoke excellent English. The room was very secure, I was in a separate building and so had three locked doors between myself and the street. It was actually a fairly large room for a European hotel! It was very clean and air-conditioned, and there were extra blankets and pillows. The bathroom was small and the TV remote didn't work, but really no complaints for the price and the location; a two-minute walk from either the Duomo or Santa Croce! Breakfast was also included, simple but filling, with cereal, pastries, yogurt, etc. Very impressed!

“Great value centrally located hotel in Florence”

The hotel is ideally located within about 500 metres of the Douomo and within easy walking distance to the central train station. Staff were exceptionally helpful and spoke great English (recommended a restaurant which turned out to have the best food we ate in Italy). Our room was a bit dated but very clean and cofortable. Breakfast was good compared to what hotels usually offer (the staff are also happy to make you a proper espresso or cappuchino if you're not keen on the machine stuff). One thing to take note of is that it's not that easy to find. You need to go up the stairs of number 5 borgo pinti and enquire at the hotel cardinal reception.

“Fantastic find!”

This was a very pleasant surprise! You are very close to everything in Florence. The room was fantastic - clean and roomy. The staff were extremely helpful with maps, directions, and travel suggestions. The price is the cheapest you will find for being in the city proper, minutes to the Duomo and the Uffuzi. Plus, there was a great restaurant just across the street. Be aware there is more than one hotel in this location (difficult to explain, but once you are there it is clear) and the registration is 3 LONG flights up, but our room was on the ground floor across the inner courtyard. So if you have a travel companion one of you should wait with your luggage downstairs.

“Not Impressed”

They did not honour our booking. So the receptionist spent about 30 minutes calling around Florence trying to find us another room. So be careful after booking this hotel since you might still not get a room by the time you get there.
