Good hotel in a good locationPosted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: The location
Cons: the breakfast

Excellent value for overnight stayPosted Jul 21, 2014
Pros: Loved the receptionist, extremely friendly and gave the kids cards with the hotel address in case they got lost which I thought was a brilliant idea.
Cons: Breakfast was diy in the basement, which was fine but would have been nice if a member of staff there.
Location: 10 min taxi drive to centre (too hot/far for our kids to walk), I'd thought we would have been able to cut through the gardens but couldn't
We had only one night in Florence, this hotel offered excellent value but in hindsight we might have been better staying closer to the centre. Had more the feel of a large guest house than an hotel, but the room was extremely spacious for the 4 of us.

quiet and pleasantPosted Jul 7, 2014
Pros: Parking. Air conditioning. Location.
Cons: Wifi could be better. Breakfast could be better
Location: Right next to the Boboli Gardens.
it was exactly what we wanted. The air conditioning worked well. The room was clean. The location was quiet. The staff were excellent. Ample and free parking! The breakfast left a bit to be desired and the WifI was somewhat inconsistent - but it was certainly adequate for the price. Not ideal if you want to be in the middle of everything - but if you like to walk and want something more peaceful, stay at the Classic.

The kids loved it!Posted Jun 19, 2014
Well, the name says Classic, it is an old Vila, and if you saw the movie "Somewhere in time" with Christopher Reeve", we you feel it. There is a car parking, a reasonable breakfast, and very good location. Our room had a mezzanine, and the kids liked it. The furniture was old.

City stayPosted Jun 18, 2014
Just outside Florance city traffic permit control zone. Just 10 to 15 minute walk and your in city centre. Free parking on hotel grounds and a nice garden to enjoy a morning or evening coffee before going to explore. Last day in Florance returning from a costal resort before driving to airport and returning car. Perfect hotel for overnight stay close to city and airport. Very peaceful location and friendly staff.

Thought it was a good value for being fairly close to the "Old City".

Nice on the outside but extremely oldPosted May 25, 2014
I was only there one night and im thankful for that. The hotel closes at midnight so if u have a late night, u have to call or ring the door bell to be let in. Staff is nice but hotel room wasn't very comfortable. There was no way to control the heat or a/c. Luckily there was a skylight in my room so when it got too hot I was able to open that and get some fresh air. The bed was hard and bathroom wasn't as clean as it could have been. I would definitely choose a different hotel next time. Too much hassle.

Traditional HotelPosted May 13, 2014
Pros: The location was a lovely street, very leafy and picturesque.
Cons: There were no coffee / tea making facilities in the bedroom. Breakfast was basic but adequate.
Location: It's located near some gardens and a street full of boutiques and independent restaurants.
The hotel is situated just a little outside of the city center which means there's no noise and it's not crammed full with tourists. It's decorated very traditionally, with beautiful gardens and outside seating. It's close to public transport that can take you straight into the city, though it's not far to walk.

Well situated Hotel in pleasant tree lined streetPosted Aug 23, 2013
Pros: The Situation. The Staff. The Off Road Parking.
Cons: breakfast could be more exciting
Location: The hotel is situated a ten minute walk south of the Ponte Vecchio. The attractions of Renaissance Florence are available within walking distance.
Pleasant staff who alerted me to the existence of the 'Firenze Card' which gives 72 hour entry to the museums and exhibits of Florence. This card is a must for tourists. My experience is that the welfare of guests is a priority for the staff. The hotel itself is situated in its own gardens off a very pleasant tree lined street a ten minute walk south of the Ponte Vecchio. There is off road parking. The breakfast room is in the cellar and is tastefully lit and decorated. My room could have been more spacious but nothing is perfect. I would recommend it to all but the most discerning. For those for whom price is a consideration it is a wonderful hotel.
