Excellent location, excellent breakfast and very clean. However, noise from outside, no air conditioner allowed to use, not so good service and smaller room than in the pictures. Also rooftop not as in the photos and no serviice in it for the season. Too pricey for what you get.

An affordable gem in the heart of Florence
It was a great last minute stay - reception was excellent in warmth and friendliness at check-in. Breakfast was great in both service and buffet options - very nice assortment. Our room was small but well appointed and the bathroom was very updated and more than spacious enough. Good closet and storage space as well. Hotel staff was very accommodating and friendly throughout the stay. Good value for the money!

My favourite part of the room was that it had a porch facing into the courtyard with the swimming pool and the high selling. The stuff were extremely friendly and if was amazingly clean

Croce di Malta is a small, comfortable hotel, located in walking distance to many of the must-see sites of Florence and excellent shopping (boutique, big stores and street markets). Restaurants worth your time are nearby, too. The lobby staff were extremely helpful, and assisted us with guidance and directions (not to mention restaurant reservations). We will stay there again, on our next trip to Florence.

We had a great time at this hotel, the location was perfect the staff was very accommodating and helpful. The roof top bar at sunset was incredible I’d say it had one of the better views than anywhere in the city. The pool was freezing ice cold so be ready for that. After every night of running the AC all night the room stunk terribly which was a downfall but other than that it was a great stay and would recommend.

The property was central - 10 minute walk to Duomo and all the restaurants Florence has to offer. We weren't there for long enough to take advantage of the facilities but there was a pool and roof top bar!

This property was so beautiful and quaint. It was a quick 6 min walk to the main train station and a quick walk to all the main attractions. The staff were so nice and helpful and everything was very clean. We had a cute balcony facing the pool which we loved and the complimentary breakfast was delicious! Definitely recommend staying here

Great location, nice hotel, pool is a bonus, enclosed pool area makes a nice place for breakfast, comfortable bed and excellent shower. We also had a balcony but the star of the stay was the rooftop bar - 360 degree view of the city and wow what a sunset

Not too far from the station, so perfect if walking with suitcases. Great location & not far from the Duomo & markets. Great restaurants & bars nearby. Room was large but dated. Air conditioning not working but sorted after a call to reception. Pool was refreshing & appreciated especially in Europe’s summer. Very strict about bringing own drinks to the pool area, signs would have been welcomed. Roof top bar had magical views of the city. Breakfast was delicious & lots to choose from. All in all great location & facilities, slightly outdated furnishings in rooms but would recommend!

Fabulous location, super friendly staff
Fantastic location, quick walk from the train station and close to all the main attractions. Staff are super friendly and helpful, it was great having the free breakfast every morning, and awesome having the pool for the afternoons to cool off. Rooms are a little bit run down, but beds are comfy and everything is super clean. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel wowed us. It is immaculately kept and located in an excellent location within Florence. If travelling by train, the hotel is a short walk to the train station, but also a short walk to major sites, such as the Duomo and Ponte Vecchio. The pool was a huge plus during the heat wave. I highly recommend this property.

I wanted to write a review for anyone who, like me, read some of the reviews and was concerned. I am so glad that I did not change my reservation from here. We are two parents and 3 kids age 11, 13, and 15. Yes, the walk from the train station had trash, but no more than would be expected in any busy American city. Yes there are vagrants if you travel towards the duomo, however they were sleeping and did not approach us at all. We were out several nights until after 10 PM and never felt concerned. The hotel is older but uses marble and leather seating in lobby areas. The entrance has automatic sliding glass doors. The front desk staff was extremely helpful! No problem with bag storage. They gave us recommendations on dinner and we used both restaurants they suggested and were happy with both! Our room was the family room and was much larger than we expected - 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms! The downstairs bathroom door was a bit warped (wood) and dragged as it neared the door jamb, so we never fully closed that bathroom door. Everything else was in good working order. The floors are wood plank and there are heavy wood furniture in the room. Pool, breakfast, and rooftop views all excellent! Even left my purse on the terrace and it was returned with all items intact! Lettie(?) at the desk was wonderful! Cold AC down to 20C!

Our stay was great, amazing room service and also views from the roof terrace. One issue was temperature control in the room, the controller was not working in both areas and the temperature was 23 degrees. Made it uncomfortable at night
