Game Day

I wanted to stay here in the past because of the close proximity to the college (UNA) but reviews of this hotel under a previous independent owner weren't very good. When we saw Days Inn/wyndom had taken over we decided to give it a try. Front desk staff was very nice. Hotel was average-slightly outdated and in need of some repairs (ie. missing/cracked tiles, loose wall paper). We could see that some upgrades were already in progress. Hopefully Days Inn will do a complete remodel and make it a very nice place to stay.

Hotel with Issues

Posted Feb 27, 2010
We had a room on the 3rd floor and the room door would not open, so we went back to the elevator to request another key. The elevator did not come !!! We called the front desk some one came, she said that there was a problem with the elevator on 3rd Floor and we could get a room on the 4th floor. I said no way, but she said the elevator was working on the 4th floor. We tried to use the phone in the room and it did not work, we wanted to checkout but itwas cold and late, we were also tired, so we decided to stay. The new room was also cold,we asked for a blanket, they did'nt have any and they brought an electric heater, I talked with the manager, he tried to explain the situation, I booked the room three weeks before my arrival which is enough time to get the hotel in order. The manager offered $10.00 off on the next time I booked the hotel. No way will I ever return to this hotel. The lady clerk was very apologetic, but the owner and manager is responsible for this situation.
