Too far from the City Center.

Pros: Food at the restaurant was above average.
Cons: The rooms were too warm during winter time with contro only at the central level.
Clean, right for the price but location is not a viable option fro a non-local tourist. The taxi tab fro one-way trip to downtown was 28 euros.

Comfortable business hotel

Posted Apr 14, 2013
Pros: Comfortable room
Cons: Noisy main road in front of the hotel
Location: Approx 15 mins outside Florence, best accessed by car
The location of the hotel was quite difficult to find even with satellite navigation. Leaving the hotel in the morning by car can be quite tricky because of the morning rush hour. The shuttle bus service was a great alternative for getting into the Florence city centre. Overall it was clean and comfortable and if booked well in advance good value for money.

Sheraton Hotel, 'Firenze'

Posted May 17, 2011 on Hotels.com
If you're looking for a Hotel close in or close to Firenze and don't have a car, this is not it! The room was clean and well equipped but the front desk staff was neither helpful nor very friendly. Only the bartender was friendly. The location is horrible, directly off the autostrada in the middle of nowhere. A shuttle service into Firenze does exist but the hours are very limited. The hours of the hotel restaurant are also quite limited. Breakfast buffet was ok but standard. My overall impression was that the hotel used to be nice in earlier times, but was bought by a chain recently and is now barely surviving under tight market conditions with staff that clearly lack motivation with this situation.
