“Best hotel in Florence!”

Magical trip visiting Florence with my daughter. Gallery Hotel Art is in a fabulous location just off the Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance of every sight. The staff is fabulous. The hotel is very modern with great decor. The breakfast is a must!!!!! Especially the salad greens with olive oil, mozzarella and tomatoes. It was just perfect. I will always stay here when I return.

“Gallery Hotel Art Florence - A Little Different”

On arrival there was a red carpet laid out - an event was being held in the bar. This is a common occurrence (3 times during a week in April) but did not disrupt the guests in any way. Check in was simple and straightforward and we were offered a special breakfast deal at a reduced rate provided we booked for the duration of our stay. The breakfast buffet was excellent, although some might prefer a larger selection of hot items, so the deal was accepted. Breakfast options were expensive (boiled eggs €6) so best avoided. The sky bar in the Continental Hotel opposite was available to guests. Worth it for the view alone and drinks appeared to include unlimited canapes, nibbles and cheese. The location of the hotel is perfect, within walking distance of all the major galleries, sights,and transport but just outside the main tourist routes. Rooms are very comfortable with fresh linen and towels daily. Air conditioning and heating is under guest control and not obtrusive. If windows are opened at night there may be some noise from early rising Florentines. Comprehensive room service menu available but no tea /coffee making facility in the room. TV, radio and internet available on the media screen and good free Wi-Fi. No BBC channels were available. The hotel has a laptop for guest use if required. The staff were all very pleasant, helpful and multilingual. Very difficult to fault this hotel

“Style in Florence”

Excellent central location in Florence. Pleasant and friendly staff. Room was quite spacious and very clean and nicely decorated.

Great location as close to the Ponte Vecchio so easy to find but still managed to be a quiet location. The staff were so helpful and friendly,very efficient. The room was comfortable and clean,well equipped with internet access, and beautifully decorated. The bathroom was stunning in marble and well equipped. It was very hot so the air-con was very welcome. The bar was good for a quiet,relaxing drink-although a little expensive. We only had breakfast there but it was of very good quality and nice to be able to eat and leave early to see the sites before they get too busy and it gets too hot!

Rooms are a bit small as is typical in Europe but this is a great Ferragamo owned hotel with style.

“Excellent option in historic center - Florence”

The Gallery Hotel is probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in in Europe. It is modern medium size hotel with excellent standards. Very well located in the historic center of Florence, half a block from the Ponte Vecchio and the Arno river, 5 minute walk from the Uffizzi gallery and Piazza de la Signoria. It is in a small street, so it is not noisy at all despite its central location. There are very good restaurants in the area, the hotel restaurant (Asian/Italian fusion) is good but quite expensive. The external lounge is very nice for drinks and seems to be very popular with locals in the weekend. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, modern and clean. Wi-Fi, HD TV are included. Excellent service from the staff.

“Awesome Experience”

The experience was great, we enjoyed Florence while there, but even more due to the advice of the Hotel Reception Staff and central location. Very helpful people truely concerned about you enjoying your stay. We will return for sure!

“Great location, highly recommended”

Very well located near the Ponte Vecchio, this small, contemporary hotel was an excellent place to stay, with extremely friendly, helpful staff. Fusion Bar and Restaurant was an absolute real find, combining sushi and traditional italian cuisine in a young dynamic atmosphere, even for the over 50's !.

“Surpassed our expectations”

We enjoyed everything about the place: Great location (a 5 min walk from much of what Florence has to offer -the Ufizzi, Ponte Vechhio, Piazza de Republica - to name just a few places). Friendly and helpful the staff. Contemporary decor (black and white photos of local scultupture on the walls) . City view from our balcony. The matress was very comfortable! We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant and therefore cannot comment on it.

“Excellent location and overall experience”

The location of the Gallery Hotel Art is superb. Literally around the corner from the Ponte Vecchio and an easy, short walk to other important sights. The rooms are small and have no views. The breakfast was excellent with a large variety of food. The staff offered suggestions for restaurants and the best gelato in Florence. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to others.
