Considering the cost & location, close to the station and to St. Mark,s, square, this worked out pretty well. Nina,s son buzzed me in when I arrived mid-morning and didn,t quite know what to do. but then the cleaning lady arrived who called NIna. Cheerful & a little disorganized & passable English for simple conversations. For a single it was OK to share a bath with two other rooms - potentially four other people! Also Nina may have friends over in the evening and you have to walk by the living room to get up stairs to the three bedrooms there. Not too bad but be prepared. Oct 2013

Convenient to walk to tourist sites, but noisyPosted Oct 3, 2013
Pros: Convenient to walk to main tourist sites
Cons: The noise level, if possible.
Location: Walking distance to the main station, Duomo. We was able to walk to all the sites.
Good: We was welcomed by the hotel staff/ owner who seemed nice, however we never met any hotel staff after the check-in. Location is convenient to walk to main tourist sites. Bad: Even though the hotel is not on the main street, it is pretty loud as you can hear the other guest chatting away, trying to get into their room and as well as use the shower. It is not the best place to stay if you want a quiet night.

A little overpriced for what you receive. Surrounding neighborhood is sketchy at night although it is at a convenient location. No hot water the first two nights we were there.

Great Stay, little messyPosted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This bed and breakfast is actually called Nina's not Garden Florence. It was a little confusing when we arrived because its a residential building and when we rang no one answered. There was a phone provided but we did not have phone service in Italy. We went to the motorcycle store in front and they contacted Nina and she was at the doctors. Her friend, Virginia, was there shortly and helped us into our room. The room was pretty big and clean. Comfiest bed. Bathroom was huge. Very nice

We enjoyed chatting with Ninni and learning about what we needed to check out while in Florence!

Terrific location with restos & attractions aroundPosted Jun 20, 2012 on Hotels.com
We really enjoyed our stay at Ninna Nanna. The location was terrific. Despite the central location it was very quiet and restful. The staff was helpful and pleasant and always ready with suggestions. Limited amenities but good value for your money.

Really central but a bit strangePosted Jun 28, 2011 on Hotels.com
This is a really well positioned hotel for the centre of florence. The room itself was quite clean but the rest of the rooms in the hotel were totally crammed with dusty junk. We paid for a private bathroom but ended up having to share. Things that belonged to us were thrown away. The toilet nearly overflowed every time you flushed it, There was a balcony on our room but it was covered with scaffolding and the builders started work about 8 oclock. We were told breakfast would be from 830 til 1030 on our 1st day we went down and there was no sign of any1. Wed just given up on the idea when Rita finally arrived. She was very disorganised but gave us both a yoghurt eventually we also got given some biscuits bread and jam. After the 1st day we were told just to get our own but there was no biscuits left no bread no yoghurts and we had to unload the dishwasher to get some dishes.
