Nice Hotel up in the mountainsPosted Jun 23, 2014
Madame Claudine (I hope I got the name right), the owner and manager of the hotel is a very sweet lady. She makes sure that everyone feels welcomed and she is very charming. The hotel is more than a 100 years old and has its own character. Very clean and comfortable with a bit of history. It is not like the mule-stories hotel but rather an old Inn. It is about 15-20 minutes drive from Florence but the scene from the road is very beautiful. My wife and I enjoyed our stay there. Did I mentioned that for breakfast we got fresh home made bread.

Hotel in the HillsPosted May 22, 2014 on Hotels.com
We regret that we only had one night to enjoy the Giotto Park Hotel. After a day in the crowd down in Firenze, being up in Bivigliano at the Giotto was a welcome respite.

Secluded HotelPosted Apr 24, 2014
Pros: Secluded hotel in spacious grounds. We liked it's dated grandeur.
Cons: In our room the bathroom was a bit small. Tea and Coffee facilities would have been nice.
Location: Florence is the main attraction, only about half an hour drive away. Small bar in the village and pizzeria in walking distance - we used both.
We had a lovely stay in Italy and were happy to have chosen Giotto Park Hotel. The hotel is quiet and secluded, indeed we had the place to ourselves for part of our stay. The maître d' was welcoming and obliging, providing some homemade cakes with the continental breakfast.

Quaint hotel in a secluded locationPosted Jan 30, 2014 on Hotels.com
This is a beautiful family run B&B style hotel. The building is old but is well maintained. The people who run it are the friendliest you could hope for and obliging of any request. We stayed in January and found the room a bit cold, though there were plenty of blankets for the beds. We found that it wasn't very conveniently located for visiting Florence, being half an hour drive away in the mountains. Perfect for a quiet retreat during the summer though if you don't want to be in Florence every day. Breakfast is included but is pretty basic consisting of a couple of hard bread rolls and jam and coffee that is barely drinkable with a delicious home-made cake, served with a smile. The wifi has been updated and worked for all our devices but not in our room which was too far away from the lobby area.

Very pleasant hotelPosted Oct 1, 2013
Pros: Its layout and rural location.
Cons: Breakfast coffee
Location: Ideal location for visiting Florence. GPS is essential.
Very pleasant rustic hotel. Very comfortable, if a little old fashioned. The owners were very nice and incredibly helpful. One very minor gripe: the breakfast was very basic and the coffee was barely drinkable.

Pros: Really confortable and clean
Location: It's a 30 minutes from the city, but to get there in car is good.
It was a pleasure to be at the Giotto Park Hotel, the staff was really helpful, and the services was really top rate. I will love to go back.

Exactly what a B&B should bePosted Apr 8, 2013
Pros: Beautiful scenery on the way to and at the hotel. Extremely helpful host. Away from the city. Very quiet. Exactly what a B&B should be.
Cons: Breakfast was a little lacking. Wi-fi didn't work with iPad or iPhone.
Location: Incredible view while driving to the hotel. The B&B is in a quiet, serene area. The grounds around the B&B are tranquil and restful.
My daughter & I stayed here for 3 nights in April, 2013 and absolutely loved it. We stayed in two other hotels (a 4-star & a 3-star hotel) while in Italy, and this one was the best. Not only is the hotel pretty, comfortable, and clean, but the scenery on the way to it is gorgeous. We drove into Florence 3 times, and it only takes about 15-20 minutes to get to the historic portion of Florence by car. I'm not sure how long by bus. The female hostess/owner doesn't speak much English, but the younger male host speaks English fairly well and was very helpful in getting us to free parking in Florence and to Pisa & Riomaggiore. He's exactly what I hope for when staying at a local hotel or B&B, because he's very knowledgeable about the area and very willing to help if you ask for it. I printed directions from Google Maps and got lost a few times trying to find Giotto Park Hotel. I'd say borrow or rent a GPS if you're driving to it; they have the coordinates on their website. Fortunately every Italian we asked for help and/or directions was very accommodating even if they didn't speak English. Everything worked perfectly (tv, shower, sink, lights,...). They have wi-fi, but it doesn't work with an iPad or iPhone. It was a usb adapter for a pc. That forced us to find free wi-fi in places like McDonald's. Other than that, the stay was perfect, and we'd stay there in a heartbeat if we went back to Italy.
