The accommodations were very nice and comfortable. We had lots of privacy since we were at the end of a hall, and at the end of some sort of a private sitting room. The bathroom was very nice, it had a shower / tub! It was great after a long day of walking! The breakfast was excellent, except that they did not have real orange juice. Not sure what it was. But, the one thing I would complain about the hotel is that the elevators and some of the hallways did not have a pleasant odor. It resembled a mild sewage odor. But iver all we had a great experience at the hotel!

I was at the hotel in november 06...so it wasn't crowded and i had a room that looked out on the duomo (not on the street)...the front desk was efficient and friendly and the breakfast (included) was excellent! i would recommend this hotel very highly..the only addition that would have been nice would be internet in the room

“Great hotel, great breakfast, great location”

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our four night stay at Hotel Baglioni at the end of our Italian holiday in June. It exceeded our expectations - it is a great hotel, in a perfect location, just 5 mintues stroll from Santa Maria Novella railway station. We had a huge room with king size bed and firm mattress, excellent bathroom, the staff were very helpful, there was a huge buffet breakfast, lovely rooftop area with views across to the Duomo and beyond.

Surprisingly beautiful and historic. Georgeous room with awesome midevel feel. Close to most places.

“Beautiful Hotel”

If you want a Hotel that looks and feels like your in Italy instead of the typical Marriott, this is a great pick. Everything about our experience there was wonderful. I rated the comfort of the room a 4 because in comparison to an American hotel some of the creature comforts were not available like fluffy towels which is typical for Italy. Everything else was magnivicent in Florence.

“Good choice”

A hotel with an excellent location and a cool, calm interior in contrast to the hot busy streets outside.Our room could not be faulted on any account being cool, clean and comfortable and the breakfasts offered lots of choice with wonderful views of the city. The panoramic roof terrace was a great bonus and just the place for an evening drink while staff were friendly & helpful at all times.

“Excellent hotel in excellent location.”

This was a great classic hotel. Location was excellent, right off the train station, just look to the right as you walk out and you'll see the hotel, take the underground walkway to the door of the hotel. All attractions are within a 5 - 10 min walk. Staff at from desk very friendly. Rooms were large & clean with tub. (we had a deluxe) Best breakfast in Italy, even had scrambled eggs ! Did I mention the view from the 5th floor hotel restaurant, breathtaking.
