“Amazing holiday”

My partner and I had an amazing holiday. The Grand hotel Cavour was lovely. We initially were checked into a room which we found a little small although very nice and very clean. As we are used to larger rooms back home we called reception and simply asked if they had a larger room available. They immediately took us to the junior suite which was lovely. The room was very specious, beautiful décor, very clean the bathroom was also specious and modern. The breakfast was also good and staff very polite, friendly and very helpful. Hotel is in a perfect location. Walking distance to the main attractions. Also we managed to go to Pisa, a beach which is close to Pisa and Roma from Florence. We had an amazing holiday absolutely loved it and def would recommend Florence and the Grand hotel Cavour.

“Great location, beautiful and spacious room!”

The location of this hotel is great: just a few minutes walk to the Duomo and other great Firenze sights. Hotel staff was very nice. The hotel is designed beautifully. Our room and the shared spaces are modern with a renaissance vibe. Nice patio on the roof top where you can enjoy drinks in the evenings and admire the views. Breakfast are nice. Our room was quiet and very spacious. The bathroom was the best, it was large, had a nice rain shower, granite flooring and lovely linen. It also had a decent hair dryer. We stayed 4 nights. Parking was not included. 25 euros a day. A little odd fact... when we left on the last day, reception called for our car. The garage driver left our car at the end of the street and brought us the keys. We had to walk a block with our suitcases to our car which was parked on the corner (literally) with its flashers on. Not a terrible thing, but if you are not used to it, and you carry a lot of luggage, it can be annoying. It was a great stay. Hotel is adjacent to a beautiful modern bar - restaurant.

“Perfect location in Florence”

We checked in early - our room wasnt ready yet, so we left our luggage and took a stroll down the street. We really didnt expect to get to the end of the road - look up and see the Duomo! Was magnificent! Great breakfast.. the hotel was absolutely lovely!

“This hotel was amazing and the location could not be better. Really impressed!!”

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It had lots of character, the welcoming from the staff was really friendly and they were very helpful. The location is amazing and as soon as you step outside you are close to all the amazing sites including the most impressive Duomo. This hotel and Florence are highly recommended and we had an amazing few days and would definitely go back. It was great having tea and coffee making facility in the room. The only fault was the room was a little small, however this could be due to the location.

“Spotless and very central”

Small twin room, but a spotlessly clean hotel. One to stay in if the main thrust is sightseeing as it is a stones throw from the back of the Duomo. Our room was small, but large bathroom and well appointed. Staff friendly. Breakfast lovely, take time to go to the roof terrace, where you can take your breakfast up (self service) fabulous views.

“Don't know why this is only rated a 3”

This hotel was in the center of all the main tourist attractions. It was lovely, clean, had a great included breakfast buffet, amazing roof top bar with lovely views. The staff was ever so friendly and helpful. When I inquired one evening about a recommendation for an authentic Italian restaurant, a front desk employee, Angela, went above and beyond and walked us to the restaurant and spoke with the manager. It was terrific. I would love to stay here again.
