“Extreamly Pleased”

Better than what we expected.Location was excellent ,just across the road from train station. and 10 mts from the Domo. Rooms with tea coffe making facility, great after a long day walking around. Staff very nice helpful, breakfast Was great fast clean. If i really want to be a grumpy old man ...the only flaw was that the FREE wireless was not availible on second floor only on ground floor the can do with puting some ransmiters on each floor.

“Nice Florence Hotel”

I was really impressed by this hotel. The location is perfect and 2 minute walk from the train station. The American style breakfast buffet was very good and the staff was very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who plans to travel to Florence.

“We loved it!”

We truly loved our time at the Grand Minerva Hotel! We were there in March when it rained during many of the days, but that did not hinder our enjoyment of our vacation in Florence. Each afternoon when we returned from touring the city, it was wonderful to see the spectacular view of the Duomo and all of Florence from our windows overlooking the piazza. We could even see the fireworks on the night of the celebration of Italy's 150 years! Our room was quite comfortable, and was kept extremely clean each of the 7 days we were in Florence. We thought the clean bathroom was great; fluffy towels, hair dryer, plenty of hot water, tub with shower, magnifying mirror, and bathrobes. We appreciated having clean sheets daily with freshly ironed pillow shams. The breakfast served each morning offered a wide variety of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, pastries, breads, jam, meats, eggs, cheeses - all elegantly displayed. The friendly and efficient staff served us the most delicious caffe, along with a personal pitcher of milk. The tables were cleared and linens replaced after each guest finished eating, and the view of the atrium with pansies blooming was delightful. The staff at the desk was also very accommodating, helping us several times during the week. We walked everywhere and found the location was ideal for seeing Florence, with most places of interest a pleasant 10 to 20 minute walk from the hotel. We would return to the Grand Minerva if we have another opportunity to travel to Florence.

“Very central to city & train”

The staff members were all very accommodating & always willing to assist with ideas for sight-seeing, restaurants, shopping, etc. Our room was very comfortable & had a lovely view over the piazza & across to Florence itself. We would definitely stay there again if we went back to Florence.

“A room with a view”

This was our second stay at Grand Hotel Minerva in four years. We were pleasantly surprised at check in that we were upgraded to suits. My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom apartment with two bathrooms, one with a jacuzzi at the top floor, overlooking at the Santa Maria Novella. Our room had a poster bed and was stylishly furnished. Our teenage daughters fared similarly. The hotel serves a great breakfast in a beautiful setting. The staff at the front desk is extremely helpful. We came by train from Rome and walked from the train station to the hotel and walked everywhere from this central location. Despite its location the piazza in front of the hotel is quiet which makes the stay more pleasant. I will always stay at this hotel in Florence.

“Florence April 2008”

The hotel Grand Minerva is great, the staff are friendly, the rooms spacious and clean, and the breakfasts amazing. The Square outside the hotel was being renovated while we were there, but should be finished very soon, but the construction work did not cause any noise or inconvenience. My friend and I plan to return to Flrence, and will definately stay at this hotel.

“Fantastic hotel and location”

THis hotel was just great - location wise it was great a few minutes from the station and a short walk from the Duomo. While we didn't have time to use the pool we had a drink on the terrace and it was a lovely area to chill after a busy day! The staff were friendly and welcoming and it was great to have free WIFI. I will definately be back!

“Great Hotel - Perfect Location”

This was our second stay at The Minerva, the staff there are very friendly and courteous. The hotel itself is bright and modern and spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfasts there are wonderful, everything you could want and sets you up for the days of sightseeing we went for. We went there four years ago, just the two of us, this time with friends who thought the Minerva was well worth coming back to. The location of the hotel is great, just five minutes stroll to the Piazza del Republica from where all the the all the main attractions are close to.

“Nice hotel, great location”

Great location, most attractions within easy walk and close to the train station. Hotel was very clean, rooms comfortable. Breakfast each morning was very good and nice to have prior to a day out and about site seeing. The only negative thing is we had massages and when we checked out, with 15 minutes to catch a train, we were told we had to pay for these in cash. We therefore had to rush out, find an ATM and come back, making the departure a little stressful. Overall very satisfied and we would recommend this hotel
