“Great hotel, Great location.”
This hotel is one street away from the train station, which was so convienent that we could walk and not have to get a taxi. It's not to far from all the major sites. Room & bathroom was nice an large. It was one of our favorite hotels. The breakfast was good too.
“Great location”
The only problem I had with this hotel is the service...or lack of service received when I sat out on the patio one evening. Although 2 waiters observed my arrival and paid much attention to the tables adjacent to me, probably because each had a solo female occupying it. After waiting 10 minutes for a waiter to even ask me if I wanted anything, it took another 10 minutes to receive my beer. Each time I tried to get the waiters attention to order food, I was ignored. They would not make eye contact and kept their back turned to me much of the time. I left after finishing my beer. I am glad I had not eaten at this hotel for my full 4 night stay if this was the service level. I did however take advantage of their breakfast which was okay and being self serve, can not comment on the service level as it takes little effort to put a coffee flask on the table.
“Giudici's rate the Hotel Albani 10 out of 10”
We visited 6 cities in Italy and all of our hotels were 4 star hotels and priced comparably. I would rate this property as the best all around property and say that we were extemely pleased with the Hotel's condition, location, sevice and food. 10 out of 10. You can't miss with this hotel and evidently they do have a sister property in Rome. I would book both next time if we happened to go to either city. Much thanks to the Albani for making our visit to Florence so memorable. Good luck!
“Very nice hotel with one exception”
This hotel was excellent except for one problem. There was no ventilation. The windows were heavy, sound proofed, which is important because the hotel is close to town and the train station, perfect for us because we did not rent a car. Our stay was in late April, too early for them to turn on the air conditioning, and too late for the heat to be comfortable. So what did we have all night? Stale air, making it very difficult for 3 people in a room to sleep comfortably. I think they either need to put in ceiling fans or allow folks to turn on the ac for ventilation purposes. The staff suggested sleeping with the windows open but it is too noisy. Other than that, the hotel was great. Ironically, perhaps if you stay when the weather is more extreme (really hot or really cold) and you could turn on the heat or ac you might be more comfortable.
“Great hotel in good location.”
Nice hotel, great breakfast in the morning. The staff was very good. Enjoyed our stay with nothing negative to say. Enjoy a drink in the courtyard, a relaxing experinece.
“Just perfert”
This hotel is so convenient to the train station. Not a 5 star hotel but who cares? Are you planning of staying at the hotel in Florence all day? If you are, stay at a resort. At first you think, oh no, why am I here....then you realize the hotel and the service was terrific! Clean, comfortable and more importantly, convenient!
“Will be returning to this hotel”
This hotel was wonderful. Check-in went smooth and the front desk staff spoke some English. Paid for valet parking - which in Florence makes life incredibly easier. Hotel less than a block away from the train station, and 5 minutes away from the main attractions. The room was comfortable but the location was AMAZING. Because of the excellent location we felt comfortable to walk around the city at night - see the attractions all lit up and stop for a late night drink - whereas the last hotel we stayed at in Florence we needed to take a 10 min bus ride to the attractions and the neighborhood the hotel was in was sketchy. We will be staying at the Hotel Albani Firenze again.
“Cant wait to go back!”
This was a great Italian hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. The full breakfast was fabulous. The room was great. The location was right by the train and bus stations and the hotel itself was beautiful.
“Great Hotel, Great Location”
We had a great stay at the Hotel Albani Firenze! The location was perfect-very close the train/bus stations, easy walking distance from major attractions, quiet side street rest. Our room was very clean and even had a balcony. The continental breakfast had a good variety of food and great hours. Would definitely stay there again and recommend to a friend. It was only a 20 minute taxi ride from the Florence airport.
“Excellent”
The front desk was very helpful in providing directions and suggestions for dining. The room was very clean and modern. The location was excellent to the train station and within walking distance to all attractions.
