Great location, right on the Arno River next to the Ponto Vecchio. Everything is in walking distance and you can go back for a rest if needed! Breakfast was super and the staff were really helpful. Would definately go again.

“Brilliant Location”

The location of this hotel is abolutely perfect within easy walking distance of all the important tourist sites and eating places. The hotel is a very friendly run hotel and all aspects were spot on. Well worth staying and one which I would return to.

“A gem just by the Ponte Vechia”

The Hotel Berchielli is perfectly situated, just 100 m from the Ponte Vechia and 5 minutes from Piazza Signorita . The staff are helpful and polite and very professional. The rooms are very comfortable and have air conditioning. There is ,however ,no restaurant for evening meals, only for breakfast which is superb.. We would go back tomorrow!!

you came up trumps with the Hotel Berchielli.Right in the heart of things overlooking the Arno Lovely little restaurant 2 mins from the Hotel Called Il Bocale Reccomended. Only 1 problem and that was Air con broke down but we were moved straight away to another room. Everything is within walking distance but avoid Local bar charging 12 euros for a large beer?

Recently had a week long stay at the Hotel Berchielli, while visiting our daughter in Florence. We were very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. The location was especially good -- easy walking to all sights in Florence as well as the train station. The full breakfast allowed us to skip lunch and manage on two meals a day -- not insignificant given the expense of Europe these days. Accommodations were very comfortable. We would highly recommend it.

“A superb hotel for anyone visiting Florence”

This is a superb hotel that is within minutes of all the sights, museums and churches. It overlooks the Arno and is next to the Ponte Vecchio. The rooms are air-conditioned which you will need in summer. We stayed for 3 weeks, as our son attended a language course. The quality was there from the start to the end. Breakfast is great but do ask for a cappuccino if you like them. The staff was always helpful and happy. The reception staff was all very helpful too, no matter the problem or need, booking museums, trains, tours and even looking up a summer festival on the internet for my son.

“Loved it!”

We thought this was a great place to stay! I think we may have gotten a smaller room, but it was still lovely, and the price sure was right. The location is incredible - right on the Arno, next to the little Santi Apostoli church, between Ponte Vecchio & Ponte Santa Trinita', a short stroll from the Uffizi, the Galileo Museum, and (I think our favorite) Piazza della Signoria, just outside the Palazzo Vecchio. Santa Maria del Fiori, Santa Croce & Santa Maria Novella are all easily walkable as well! There is also a nice tobacco shop (think convenience store) right next door, which sells postcards and stamps. The hotel itself is adorable. We loved the decorating. The lounge areas are very comfortable to rest in after a day of pounding the pavement, and the bar is well-stocked. We never went to their afternoon tea on the roof garden, but the roof garden is a lovely, calm place to be. The hotel staff were all very courteous and helpful, helping us book tickets for a tour of the Uffizi (the next day, in the middle of tourist season!), mailing our stamped postcards for us (there are not many postboxes in the city), and calling a taxi for us at our request when we checked out. The complimentary breakfast is not to be missed either - and being from 7-11am, it is blissfully hard to miss. They make a great cappuccino. The room was very clean, the mattress was nice and firm, the hot water never ran out mid-shower, and nobody bothered the room when we left the "do not disturb" sign up.
