Highly Recommend

Pros: The staff. The location. Very comfortable rooms. Good breakfast.
Cons: The beds were very firm. Too firm for me.
Location: Excellent location- short walking distance to all major sites.
First, this is a great location. Short walk to most major attractions. Second, the entire staff is just great--the front desk, the bartenders, the breakfast waiters, the cleaning ladies. They were all very nice and courteous, doing whatever was required to make your stay enjoyable. We had a river facing room and it was very comfortable with great view. Even though the street is right below the window and there is high foot traffic as well as autos when the window is closed the room is very quiet. The rooms were nice and very very clean. Overall, a very nice hotel that I would highly recommend.

Very happy with my experience

Posted Mar 23, 2015
Pros: The location, the level of service
Location: The hotel is very close to the Ponte Vecchio and therefore the majority of Florence is within walking distance.
It was a bit of a challenge getting to the hotel from the train station by foot with suitcases on cobblestone, but once we found it it was definitely worth it. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room was a very nice size and ours had a wonderful balcony terrace with seating.

Very central well-run hotel.

Posted Mar 20, 2015
We had a room with a view of the Arno river. It was quite spacious and comfortable for my daughter(8 years old), my husband and I. The hotel is run very efficiently. The included breakfast was quite satisfactory. Thanks to the recommended restaurants by the front desk, we had some amazing meals. Overall our stay at Berchielli was very pleasant. It is also very close to all the attractions.

Charming hotel directly on the Arno.

Posted Mar 16, 2015
Charming hotel directly on the Arno at the Ponte Vecchio, two blocks from the Uffizzi and the Duomo and everything else any museum or art lover needs to see. Our rooms were newly redecorated and well appointed. The desk staff knew us by name after first meeting and were attentive to our every need. They were most accommodating when we decided to extend our stay after returning from a two day visit Naples and quite frankly, we felt as though we were returning home when we checked back into the Hotel Berchielli. The included "European" breakfast was more than adequate with a very nice selection of meats, eggs, pastries, etc. My morning cappuccino was even decorated with a heart in the creamy foam! I will always stay at the Hotel Berchielli on all future visits to Florence. This is what a hotel experience should be!

Pretty much perfect

We spent four nights here and thought it was very good in every respect - excellent central location by the river, characterful inside, good breakfast, wifi worked well, helpful staff, good value, everything you could ask for. We were lucky enough to have a room overlooking the river, which was a great bonus we weren't expecting, but even without that it would have been an ideal choice.

C'est un sans faute.... bravo!

Posted Mar 2, 2015

Perfect position for visiting Florence

Posted Mar 2, 2015
Pros: The downstairs bar was very reasonably priced and there were sofas in the reception area with newspapers and magazines in a variety of languages.
Cons: The cooked breakfast was not always great but there was plenty of other choices
Location: The hotel is very close to the Uffizi and the Ponte Vecchio and within walking distance to all the tourist attractions.
We booked a 5 night stay at the last minute with Expedia and it was everything we hoped. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave excellent recommendations for local restaurants. Our room was spacious and quiet with a good bathroom. I would stay here again.
