“Best Location & Best Value!”

I would definitely recommend this hotel. I was travelling alone, the room was clean - good size & nice bath. The continental breakfast was also good. I had a room with a view of the Duomo & could not ask for more. The staff was friendly too. Tip: If you're giving directions, it might be just as easy to say that it's located at the Duomo end of Via Dei Calzaiuoli. Also the entrance is on the side & the hotel is located on the third floor and there is an elevator. Anyway, I was very pleased!

“Would stay here again”

We had a great time in Florence, and the location of this hotel is perfect - steps from the Duomo and a very short walk to the Uffizi. The hotel staff were extrememly friendly and willing to help. We did not spend much time in the hotel, so fancy ammenities were not important to us. Hotel Bigallo had everything we needed. Breakfast was minimal, and pastry/coffee in town were better.

“Great location and you cant beat the price!! NICE”

Location was perfect!! Walking out every morning and right into the Duomo square was amazing. Very easy to find and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. Everything was close by and the staff was great. beds where a little hard but its like that in most places in europe. We will stay there again when we return next year!!

“Great hotel for the money”

This is like many of the other hotels in Europe, small and had it's quirks. The staff was kind, the rooms were clean and we had no trouble whatsoever. One gentleman who works the front desk even took us to the airport on our last day - no need for a cab is a great way to save money. Be aware that this hotel is not traditional in the fact that it only owns a few floors of a residential building, and there is no elevator. Again, this is not uncommon for Europe.

“Good location”

The Hotel Bigallo has a great location in Florence. Walking distance to all desired locations is its biggest attraction. When I showed up though, I was informed that the hotel was closed and that I needed to report to Hotel De Lanzi. Hotel De Lanzi was just a block away, but it would have been nice to know this ahead of time. Therefore, this review is really for the Hotel De Lanzi, but from the outside, I think both hotels are equivalent. The room was simple and small. The hotel staff was nice and helpful. If you plan to only use the room for sleeping, then I would recommend this hotel, but if you want confort, keep looking.

“A decent place to stay close to the city center”

This is an average, decent hotel to stay at if you prefer staying close to the city center of Florence. It is very close to the Duomo and within walking distance of every attraction, although Florence is a small city and everything is walkable. The hotel is difficult to find since it is located in a small street corner and you would need to take the lift to the 3rd floor to get to the hotel. A breakfast is provided and the front receptionist does speak English, but the rest of the hotel staff does not speak any English. The rooms are small and the decor is rather old. This hotel would be good if you like to stay close to the attractions, but there are other hotels that you can pick that are 10-15 minutes walk to the city center that are nicer.
