Great location with a friendly & helpful staff.

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The location and the staff.
Hotel Casci is a small hotel with an exceptionally friendly & helpful staff, and moderately priced for what you get. The rooms are not large but are clean, well-kept and comfortable. It is located within minutes of the Duomo, the Accademia & Medici Chapel, & convenient walking distance to all of the sights in Florence. The staff answered all questions, helped with restaurant reservations and were extremely customer friendly and oriented. A continental breakfast is included in the price, which has a good variety of fresh fruit & baked goods so you can get a good start for a day of sightseeing. Overall a real gem in a great location.

Wonderful hotel, close to everything

Posted Jul 26, 2014
Pros: Large rooms, great location, clean, friendly staff, great breakfast
Location: Walk to train and bus station and all the sights.
We stayed in this hotel for 3 nights and I was sad to leave. It is in a building that used to be a palace and they have made use of all of the space to create the hotel rooms. The rooms were spotless and comfortable. We usually stay in 4 star hotels, so I was not sure what to expect from this little hotel. But my daughters and I had a great time and I will definitely stay there again if in Florence. It is in a great location to reach the train, buses and to walk to the sights. The breakfast was wonderful and the staff very nice. A great little find for us.

A nice find in Florence

The Casci hotel is conveniently located for sites, restaurants and everything else Florence has to offer. A family owned establishment, we were warmly welcomed. The stay was pleasant and the rooms were clean. I would stay here again hands down.

Great hotel close to the Duomo

Posted May 26, 2014
Pros: Great staff, clean and large room, close to local attractions.
Cons: Nothing
Location: Everything is in walking distance.
The staff was so friendly at this hotel. They recommended a great tour (Tuscany in a day), and even had breakfast ready early on the day we took the tour so we could get a quick bite to eat before the tour. Would definitely stay there again!

Comfortable, clean hotel with excellent location

Posted Mar 25, 2014
Pros: H. Cascia is simply furnished, clean, warm, welcoming, quiet; housekeeping service is excellent; breakfast ample, delicious, healthy. Great location.
Location: Hard to beat the location: very near il Duomo, San Marco, train station, Santa Maria Novella; easy walk to Arno, Santa Croce, Piazza della Signoria.
The Hotel Casci offers superb location near major sights in Florence. We found the facility to be clean and comfortable, the owners and staff memorably and generously attentive, friendly, helpful and accommodating. They each contributed to a warm and welcoming atmosphere and were very approachable for assistance in providing information as well as details involving guest comfort (such as daiiy requests for ice for an injured knee). We stayed here four nights and very much appreciated the quiet environment both in the hotel and protection from outside noise on the street below. The rooms were clean, comfortable, spacious, the bathrooms spotless, well equipped with modern fixtures and ample in scale. The breakfasts were delicious, healthy, ample; they also proffered an opportunity to talk with other guests (or to eat in solitude if one chose.)

Good hotel for the price. Staff were excellent, rooms exceptionally clean. Only reason not 5 out of 5 is because I could hear the tv from the room next door

Excellent Location and quiet

Posted Dec 1, 2013
Pros: The hospitable staff and the quiet. The young man with beard during the evening gave wonderful recommendations for restaurants.
Cons: I think the bathroom needs to be rethought out. See above
Location: Couldn't be better located. Walking distance to everything.
Hotel Casci is located very close to the Duomo on a street usually closed to traffic. So perfect placement. It is an extremely well-maintained hotel by the careful family owners. My room was very quiet and clean. Unlike most pensions in Italy, they changed out the towels every day with fresh ones. It was comfortable and the mattress was great. My main concern was that the room be quiet and it was wonderfully so. I found all of the staff very professional, efficient and hospitable. Breakfast was ample: fresh croissants, fruit, yogurt, eggs and a cappuccino machine (I prefer fresh made cappuccino, but this was quite good). The only thing I found odd was the bathroom arrangement. There was not room for both a toilet and bidet so each folded into the wall. You could pull down the porcelain toilet and then push it into the wall and pull down the bidet. The toilet was not able usually to fully evacuated its contents. It was a creative response to little space, but not entirely successful.
