“A Good pleace in a beautiful city”

The location is great, the breakfast is very good even thought you have to pay 4 euros for it, the guy from the desk sell me the internet key for 2 euros so it isn't so bad. The service of the staff is great. And the city is even prettier.

Staff spoke Engish! The gentleman at the desk went out of his way to help us. Walking distance to train station and all major attractions. Nice quick store close to hotel. Good security.

“Tiny elevator, great staff”

We enjoyed this hotel. The room was clean and the breakfast was good. The staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. They arranged our reservation to see "David" at the Accademia. You'll marvel at their tiny elevator. This hotel is within easy walking to the train station and attractions in Florence.

Everything in Florence is a little hard to locate at first--after all, it's a medieval city--so be patient and ask the local police. The entrance to the hotel is a little daunting--locked door and you ring a bell, go through a courtyard, hear a buzz to open a barred gate, up the stairs or lift. But everything else is fine--nice people, helpful, great walk-to-everywhere location. Look for the sign on the wall that Raphael of Urbino was a guest in the house (not recently enough to write a review, however). Ours was the smallest bathroom in the history of indoor plumbing (if they'd delete the bidet, it would help), so we took a drawer out of the bedside table and put it on the bidet to use as a shelf.

“Excellent value for money and a fantastic location”

An absolute gem of a hotel. Located right in the centre of Florence (walk out of the hotel, turn right, walk 200m and you will be at the Duomo), it provides excellent value for money. The room that we stayed in was cosy, but clean and remarkably comfortable. The staff were friendly, and sorted out a day trip to Siena and San Gimingiano with no problems at all. Strongly recommended for those looking to do Florence on a bit of a budget and who want to stay close to everything. I'd definitely go back.

“Gem of a hotel!”

In a great central location, amazingly friendly staff, 4 minutes from the duomo, right near the leather market and the best restaurants! This is defiantly an underrated hotel, a great find! The gentleman that works at night is just charming and friendly, beds are comfortable, showers ar clean and nice, and breakfast is small but filling!

“Hotel Centro - Great Value”

Stayed several nites in Hotel Centro in Florence. Location is great and within a short walk of most of the major sites and the train station. Room was a little tight and the bathroom was very good. The complementary continental breakfast was good. Staff was friendly and very helpful with reservations, tips, etc. At this price the Hotel Centro is a great value.

You get what you pay for and we didn't pay much for 2 nights in Florence (had a coupon), so we didn't expect too much from our place. It was worth every penny we spent though. The location of the hotel is excellent (a couple blocks from San Lorenzo's market) and it was a great spot to be because it was so close to everything. We had the smallest room available and it was definately small, with a shared bathroom, but that didn't really bother us. The staff was friendly to us at all times, the place was clean and we even got a free breakfast because we didn't realize it didn't come as part of our hotel package. We will definately stay here if we travel to Florence again.
