Nice hotel just outside of the city centre.Posted Jul 9, 2014
Pros: The air conditioning and location.
Cons: The hotel could be staffed for more hours - it's only staffed til 11pm. You are only able to use the lift for luggage on your arrival.
Location: It was a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main centre of Florence. The walk included many shops and restaurants.
Lovely room in a nice hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast was included. It was a ten to fifteen minute walk to the main centre of Florence. The walk included many shops and restaurants. The Greek ristorante Dionisis can be recommended - as a vegetarian the choices of Italian food can become somewhat limiting when you only have a very (very) basic grasp of the language. The 99 Cent store is also highly recommended, Florence is an expensive city! Even the De Spar is double the price of its own Roma stores in Florence. The 99 Cent store provides many essentials, and some not so essentials - beer - at a reasonable price. There are so many nice places in the city to visit and eat and all are within easy reach of the hotel, so it is recommended. No public transport or taxi firms were required. It's not even too far to nip back for a siesta. The rooms were clean and had ALL IMPORTANT air conditioning, a fridge and a very nice en suite bathroom. The room wasn't huge, but it didn't need to be. The staff were helpful, and on the last day we needed to print off our airport transfer bus tickets only to find - regardless of what the ROUGH GUIDE travel book might tell you - that there are NO internet cafes in Florence. There is plenty of free Wi Fi, but nowhere to print. However, the hotel staff were more than happy, and patient, to print off our tickets for us.

Convenient for central FlorencePosted Apr 10, 2014
Pros: Convenient location for the city centre, the helpful staff, cleanliness of rooms, good price.
Cons: Door to the reception kept shut at night to reduce noise? Room doors could do with being more soundproof. More fruit at breakfast?
Location: La Cucina del Garga, lovely restaurant nearby. Visit the amazing mask shop of Agostino Dessi nearby on Via Faenza!
A convenient 10/15 minute walk from central Florence, good value, clean rooms, very little noise from the street, reasonable breakfast choices for the price, very friendly and helpful staff. The only downside was the internal noise: my room was very close to the reception and with thin doors and tiled floors, I heard every conversation in the hall, every door slamming (and they tended to slam, be reopened and slam again, as the locking mechanism was not intuitive) and found it hard to sleep. It didn't help that there was also a party of schoolchildren staying for some of the days I was there, though after the first night of them charging around at all hours the hotel had a word with them and amazingly managed to quieten them down! I'd still recommend taking earplugs just in case.

Easy walking distancesPosted Nov 3, 2013
Cons: The breakfast !
Location: Good location about ten minutes walk from St Marco complex and the Accadamie, by which time your in sight of Duomo and St Lorenzo and Uffizi etc.
Helpful staff, nice big room with lots of cupboard and drawer space. It is in a quiet neighbourhood but easy to get around. The breakfast was disappointing. Tinned fruit every day and in fact nothing changed throughout our stay.

Pros: location, staff is excellent. free easily accessed wifi.
Cons: somewhat softer bed would have been nice. screens for the windows as it was very warm and we got eaten up by mosquitoes!
Location: close enough to central Florence that most everything is easily accessible.
we were only there for one night and had to leave before breakfast to catch our plane back to US; they allowed us to take food from the dining area. the staff was very helpful; arranged the cab to the airport early in the morning, recommended a great Trattoria nearby.

Good location, easy & relaxing.Posted Oct 20, 2013
Pros: Nice big room with high ceiling. Air conditioning. Fridge in room great (for guests use - not mini bar). Bathroom had nearly new suite and fittings.
Cons: Breakfast really just bread and jam (there is yoghurt and cornflakes) though the coffee is good.
Location: Easy 10-15 minutes walk from train station (with wheeled had luggage). 10 minutes walk to St Marks square and 15 from Duomo.
We had a lovely stay (and love Florence). Buy the Firenze card to save queing as well as saving on price.

It's near the sights so you can walk there easily. Parking is a little expensive and far - about 600 meters. Rooms are average. Staff is kind.

Pleasant hotel with friendly and helpful staff, room was clean and kept clean, with beds made daily. Good continental breakfast. Within walking distance of all main attractions.
