Good locationPosted Sep 3, 2014
The hotel is just a few minutes' walk to the major attractions and the train station. Staff is friendly and personal. We'd enjoyed our stay there.

Perfect location. Inconvenient for car travelersPosted Sep 1, 2014
Pros: hotel staff friendliness
Cons: parking and hotel sign
Location: This hotel is only two blocks away from the Duomo. Lots of things to do within walking distance
We had trouble to find the hotel. The sign was hard to see during day time. There are two hotels in the same building. Each one occupies a whole floor upstairs. The elevator was tiny. It was hard to drop the family, no space to park (had to do it in double line and wait half an hour for car pickup). The hotel staff was extremely friendly. The room was huge and newly renovated. Breakfast was very good (great cappuccinos).

Hotel Colomba - great locationPosted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: Excellent location. Seems to be family run, friendly staff. Air con in rooms (ours at least!).
Cons: Breakfast was basic, but plentiful. They had fresh rolls but no toaster/sliced bread which was surprising!
Location: Close to all main attractions in Florence, but away from busiest/noisiest tourist area.
This hotel is superbly located in Florence - within walking distance of all of the main sights (I would say less than 5 mins walk to Duomo). The hotel is basic, some of the decor is a little dated, however the staff are friendly, our room was a good size with air-con and reasonably priced minibar. It was perfectly suited for all we wanted which was a simple and comfortable hotel near the main attractions. Continental style breakfast buffet was simple but plenty to eat. Cheaper than many other hotels in the area we found at the time of booking.

Great location and wonderful staffPosted Jul 23, 2014
Ideal location. Minutes to main city centre and 15 minute walk to main train station. Rooms are very well kept. Air conditioned rooms. Showers very cramped. Would go back and recommend to friends.

Convenient and comfortable stay!Posted Jul 15, 2014
Pros: Convenient to main attractions and train station, large room, quiet neighborhood, reasonable price! And the morning cappuccino!
Cons: The quad room is large enough to add a dressing partition allowing for a little privacy while getting dressed for families with older children(teens)
Location: All main attractions we within walking distance... Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizzi gallery...
My husband and I and two teens stayed in a comfortable quadruple room with a double bed and two single beds. The hotel was spotless and our quad room was quite large! Breakfast was delicious with hard boiled eggs, croissants, and other breads and jellies, as well as a choice of cereals and fresh fruit. But the highlight of the morning was getting a fresh cup of cappuccino or regular coffee.

Lovely staff and great locationPosted Jul 1, 2014
Our room was quite big and bathroom was huge. Breakfast was good and coffee was fresh. The location was good 5 mins from the duomo and round the corner from the galleria d'accademia. The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They were very friendly and chatty. They were also extremely helpful when we needed a dr as I was bitten before we arrived in Florence and had an adverse reaction to the bite. They called the dr for us and directed us where to go. It was very helpful for us as we didn't speak Italian. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Fantastic location, great hotelPosted May 29, 2014
Pros: Location, friendliness of staff, value for money
Location: 15 min walk from train station, 3 mins from Medici chapels and st Lorenzo, 5 mins to duomo.
We stayed here for 4 nights and had a lovely holiday. The location is great for walking to all Florence's sights and convenient for lots of good restaurants in the evening. The whole team are friendly and helpful and our room was quiet, clean and comfy - we could ask for nothing more. Florence is expensive to stay in and this hotel is great value for your money.

Very small bathroom and very uncomfortable. Way too expensive, we found 4star hotel for the same price in downtown Florence, very disappointed with my stay
