Ideally located for sights in Firenze

Posted Nov 8, 2013
Pros: The location is ideal!
Cons: This is an old building, but if you appreciate the charm of being in that location, you will enjoy your experience.
Location: Easy access to all you might wish to do in Firenze.
The location is right in the middle of the historic sights, shopping and restaurants of the City: everything is within walking distance from Hotel De Lanzi, The hotel is very old, tired, but interesting; the elevator accommodates 2 persons with 2 suitcases; the rooms are "European small". They provide a very good continental breakfast. The price is reasonable given its location. If you have a car, get the name of the garage they recommend and pay the 25 euros per night for parking and don't attempt to drive to the Hotel: for the parking fee, garage personnel will drive you to the hotel, take your car away and then pick you up when you are ready to depart.

WET BATHROOM

Posted Nov 3, 2013
Pros: Locatıon
Cons: Salad and more bags of tea for breakfast,a water seperator in the bathroom, slippers,
Location: 30 metres to Duoma Square, visit Golden View Open Bar Restaurant for dinner and choose the room with live jazz....
İ Met a lovely receptionist who arrenged our train trip to Pisa and Sienna and back,a courtyard of 5 tables where you can smoke and have breakfast, must ring a bell while entering your flat and wait for someone to open,,a bathroom without a curtain or a seperator so eveywhere is wet including the towels and the toilet paper,no slippers though we mentioned in our booking 5 months earlier,a selfservice breakfast with just 2 teabags on the table,no tomatoes or cucumber or white cheese or olive though we were at Mediterranian area-not in the middle of Sahara Desert-,as a whole, only advantage is its location but nothing else for this price

Ideal location

Posted Nov 1, 2013
Cons: Maybe a comfy chair in the room?
Location: Top gelaterie - Grom - just outside the door. In the Duomo in two minutes; five minutes from Palazzo Vecchio, Uffizi, etc
In an ideal central location, the hotel is reasonably priced with very friendly and helpful staff. It was a perfect base for a stay in Florence and if ever we were to return, we would try to book to stay here again. The room was pleasantly furnished and very comfortable, and although we didn't have a view from our room this would have been simply icing on an already excellent cake.

Superb location

Posted Oct 27, 2013
Pros: Location!
Cons: The breakfast could use some better ingredients, particularly real croissants and some cereal choices.
Location: Superbly located one block from the Duomo in the heart of town. Don't miss gelato at Grom, across the street, and dinner at Coquinarius.
This hotel is ideally located near the Duomo, and is walking distance to all the major sites in Florence. It's also across the street from the best gelato in the city, at Gorm (organic, fresh ingredients, the best extra dark chocolate ever), next door to a lavish store/enoteca with every Italian sweet and wine (and other alcohol) you might ever desire, and in the same block as one of the best restaurants in town, Coquinarius. The hotel itself is not particularly special, but is certainly acceptable and very well priced - we paid about the same amount for three nights here as for a single night at a similar hotel in Rome.

Decent Hotel, Great Location

Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Location, room size, breakfast.
Cons: Needs an update
Location: Perfect location, Duomo is 2 mins away
We stayed here for 4 nights. The hotel is dated and it is a stretch as a 3 star. But the location is amazing, can't really get better. Only downside is the Duomo bells going off every morning, it's loud so close the windows. Hard to complain much for the price. Room was large and breakfast was good too.

Facilities not as advertised

Posted Oct 22, 2013
Pros: Location
Cons: Clarity of advertising.
Location: Near centre of old city - perfect location.
We were extremely disappointed with this Hotel. Although the condition and comfort were ok, the facilities were not 'accurately' depicted in the Hotel advertisement. The first point is that the parking provided is a good 10 minutes drive away and is usually a case of handing your car over to an unknown driver (with subsequent risks - although service was actually good). The second point is that the free wi-fi is for a limited time (15 mins?) for one device and one access. The staff were ok, but not overly helpful. Location was superb however.
