Can highly recommend

Pros: The hotel is very well maintained and the staff are polite, helpful and friendly. The roof garden was an added bonus
Location: The location was perfect, right in the centre of all the amenities and shops. Plenty of reasonably priced restaurants within 5 min walking distance.
We were very pleased and surprised at the superior quality of this hotel

Good location, friendly staff, a little noisy

Posted Jan 6, 2013
The hotel is very central and easy to find, tucked away in a side street but seconds away from Ponte Vecchio and all the sites. Staff were all very friendly and spoke good English. The breakfast room was pleasant and the (inclusive) breakfast straightforward but very nice. The one slight negative for me was the noise - not the hotel's fault but central Florence is quite noisy which didn't make for the best night's sleep.

Best location in Florence

Posted Dec 14, 2012
Cons: Breakfast Service staff and waiting
Location: Within walking range of the major attractions in town!
This is a pretty nice hotel in Florence for its class. As a second time around guest, I am content as you cannot beat the location, right in the center of the all City. The hotel is aged and need some refreshing, maybe new carpets may do the trick as the rooms have a musty smell when you get in. I would air out the room every time for a few and that usually work. The breakfast room is too small for the amount of guests that it serves. The service there needs some improvement as they only had one attendant every day to service the whole room. There were to different ladies that served breakfast during my 8 day stay, one of them was particularly unfriendly when I arrive 10 minutes prior to the end of breakfast. Given that you get a set offering of beverage, a croissant, and package toast with package toast and preserves, she acted as she needed to serve omelets with all the trimmings. Other than that experience everybody else in the hotel was helpful and friendly.

Good location, but not the best service.

Posted Nov 18, 2012
Pros: Good location.
Cons: The shower is old and the breakfast service is slow (more than 1 hour!).
Location: The best!
The best location ever! But the shower was in the old style: you have to hang and hold the shower over your head. The breakfast was very slow, because there was only one lady working to clean and serve everybody (there was no buffet: the food was served in your table).

Good location, plenty of charm, affordable

Do not count on their breakfast, it consists of coffe, bread and butter. Location is excellent however and hotel itself has plenty of basic charm. We were the las guests to leave before thy closed down for renovation.

Location of the hotel is outstanding

I was completly satisfied with my stay in this hotel. Parking a car was the only difficulty, but the same problem occurs in all hotels in the city center.

Pros: Location
Cons: Small elevator
Location: Close to all major tourist attractions & piazzas
We stayed 7 nights & loved looking out from our terrace balcony at night as people walked by going to the Ponte Vecchio Bridge. Excellent location for sites (but hard to find the first time coming from train station/bus station)

Stay away from room 328!

Posted Oct 16, 2012
Pros: location
Cons: room window opens to toilet ventilation yard
Location: central
My room, 328, had its window opening towards a tiny and dark courtyard, which serves as a ventilation space for all the toilets. Impossible to open the window, the smell is intolerable! The hotel itself is OK, well located and pretty clean, the staff are fine, but this room is simply unacceptable.
