“Good location, helpful and friendly staff.”
We (I) chose this hotel on price, and because of it's position, just about half way between the main railway station and the Duomo. This is about as central as you are going to get in Florence. Arriving late at night the hotel entrance was not too inviting. Huge old dark wooden doors and a cluster of doorbells, one of which was the hotel. After being buzzed in, a small elevator took us up to reception on the 3rd floor. The guy checked us in quickly without fuss as he could see that we were past our best after a long day. Our room was clean and spacious enough for a weeks stay, and the en-suite was clean and everything worked. The staff were great, always friendly and helpful. The guy on reception was happy to make calls for pre-booking gallery tickets. If you are looking for a comfortable, centrally placed hotel with pleasant staff, I guess you have found it.
