“Great hotel!”

Great hotel! - 30 seconds away from the main train station - very close to all the major tourist areas and restaurants - friendly and helpful staff - clean rooms and bathrooms - free wi-fi

This is the type of hotel that gives you a good flavor for Florence. It is very unpretentious. It has older furniture, a tiny T.V., and no fancy lobby. However, if you want a real community experience go here. The woman at the desk is very friendly. The rooms are clean and the hotel is in a great location. Breakfast is free and presented in an absolutely beautiful breakfast area overlooking the city. This is a 3 star hotel. I gladly traded the "posh" amenities of our 4 start hotel in Rome for this place. None of the arrogance and artificially high costs were present in this cute little hotel.

“Nice hotel - would recommend it.”

Right around the corner from the train...good location. The hotel is very old, so it seemed a little worn down, but it was clean. The staff was wonderful.

“Not too bad”

Convenient to train station, but noisy neighborhood. Beautiful interior paint, lovely stained glass, cute "pension" atmosphere. Kind of funky. Pretty breakfast room with a gorgeous view of a courtyard and other houses. Very European in feeling. Good value. I would go back, but take earplugs.

“Convenient Location”

The location is very good for those arriving by train. It is a five minute walk from the train station and the market which is convenient place to purchase souvenirs and to eat. The rooms were small and the beds were not very comfortable. The shower was small and could flood while showering if you did not turn the water off while shampooing. The wireless Internet connection did not reach into the room areas, thus most guest were gathered around the in the hallways or the small reception area were the wireless router is located. The continental breakfast was good. The staff was overall friendly and helpful during our stay. The hotel shortcomings were tolerable.

“Friendly hotel”

The hotel was absolutely fine and what I'd expect from a 3 star rating. It was on the 2nd floor of a building but there is a lift if that's an issue. It was iterally 5 minutes walk from the railway station and handy for all the tourist attractions. We were given a map by the receptionist who then pointed out all the local attractions. Later he helped us with train times too. Breakfast was rather basic but not a major concern for us.Good value for money, handy location and friendly staff. I'd use it again.

“One word .... average”

If you are looking for somewhere cheap and conveniently located next to the train station this is the place to go! Its actually not far from the city centre either so location wise it is good. Staff are friendly, breakfast was very average, the bread/croissants provided felt like they were at least a day old, but it was included in our accomodation so it was better than nothing. Our bed was extremely uncomfortable, it creaked and made weird noises with every move - not the best sleep I have had but it was only for 2 nights so it was okay, and it was very reasonably priced.

“Hotel experience”

Hotel was adequate for our needs. Reception attendant was very friendly and extremely helpful. Some problems with Internet connection but eventually resolved. Bed not all that comfortable but adequate. Breakfast was very enjoyable and lots of variety to choose from. Good value for money and would recommend to others. Decor could be spruced up a little but quite unique. Water tank for toilet a little noisy.

“Disappointing”

I was quite disappointed with the hotel. Though the staff were helpful and it was clean, the whole place felt a little run down. The wallpaper in my room was peeling off in quite a few places, and the ceiling lamp has at least one bit broken off. One of the main reasons I chose the hotel was for the free wifi. However, the signal is so awful, I couldn't get it in the room (you can get the signal from the nearby hotels, but of course not their passwords). To use the broadband, I had to sit in the corridor next to reception. Location wise, it was close to the main train station, which was convenient. Florence is small enough that you can walk everywhere you need to be from the hotel.
