“Great Location!”
The young people running this hotel were very nice and effecient. The breakfast is good and the location is easy walking distance from the train and bus station and all the important sights in Florence. I think it is a very good value. The central food market is nearby and the street market is right at the door.
“Location ,Value, Space and Refurbished Rooms”
A 5 minute walk from the glorious Art Deco Central train station this charming family hotel was perfectly located for a sightseeing trip, opposite the unmissable Medicee Cappelle. Our room (no.101) had just been refurbished to a high standard as was the entire floor, well above the 2 star rating. The family that run it are charming and so helpful+ knowledgeable at the desk. Although double glazed with a view to die for , a front facing room will have some noise from the hussle n bussle of the market outside , so light sleepers aught to ask for a room at the back , and don't expect a fancy breakfast (tho you can make yourself a ham+cheese toastie with the Breville ) or english tv channels We spent 3 days there and with the fantasic produce market 100mtrs away as well as a selection of fab eateries on hand , we left a little heavier and with our heads swimming with all the culture that Florence has to offer. We are pleased to heartilly recomend this hotel and we'll be comming back next year
“restaurants”
This is a great place to stay in Venice. Like everything, it is very expensive... if you stay here don't buy the multi-day pass on the water taxi/bus. You can walk to everything and walk to the train station when you leave. Use your own judgement when finding a good restaurant. The guy at the desk told us about a good place near St. Marco Sq and it was the worst experience we had in Venice. Walk where the tourists are not walking (off beaten path) and eat where the locals do and you'll get amazing value and quality. Watch out for those CRAZY sitting fees... can be up to 4 euros each person... if you complain, they will point out the fine print somewhere on the menu that you were meant to see when you sat down. Enjoy!
“Clean rooms, friendly staff, excellent location”
Great hotel at a good price. A safe bet for business or travel.
“Good hotel, highly recommended”
I highly recommend this hotel to everyone going to Florence with its excellent location and its good price, if you could bare a little bit of noise from the street outside. The hotel is just 5 mins walk from the Florence SMN station, and it's opposite to San Lorenzo. The breakfast was also very nice.
“the hotel position is very convenient,”
room decoration is so coozy, I felt like I am in a 4 stars hotel.
“Looks were deceiving”
As I walked up to it, I thought I'd made a mistake. It was in an old building (historic area duh!) that didn't look like much from the outside. Once inside though, my worries were gone. It looked recently renovated. A sliding glass electric door separating room sections from the elevator area was a surprisingly modern touch. Our room was small (typical in Europe) but very quiet (slept great). The location was perfect. It was an easy walk to anywhere and everywhere we wanted to go in Florence, around the corner from the Accademia, and we passed the Duomo every day. To find it if you arrive during the day when the market stalls are open, you'll need to walk on the sidewalk behind them, directly opposite the Basilica di San Lorenzo & the Medici Chapel (that's how central it is). We arrived late so that wasn't a problem for us, but finding it during the day might be. Unlike one reviewer, we felt perfectly safe, even at night, since we were in such a central location, there were always others around. I would stay there again without hesitation. It was great!
“Great Location”
This hotel has an excellent location. The rooms were very clean and the breakfast was very good. Overall it was more than what I expected.
“It's a three or four star hotel”
Comfortable and well located. Not very luxurios. However, each room has refrigerator, cable and brand new AC. The dinning room is so small, you have to book in advance what time are you getting breakfast the next day.
“Value for money”
Hotel Giada lived up to our expectations. It was great value for a budget hotel. The location was fantastic to walk to all the sights within 15 minutes, and only 15 minutes walk from the train station. The staff were very helpful and spoke english, the rooms were clean and large, and the breakfast was simple but adequate. Definite value for money, we would stay again next time.
