Great location and awesome staffPosted Jun 30, 2015
Pros: Everything, except the stairs.
Cons: Nothing, because an elevator wouldn't work.
The only drawback to this hotel is that it is in such a beautiful old building that there can be no elevator. The staff is awesome, happily carrying bags up and down. We attended a wine tasting party, had a great time, and got to know staff and other guests. The location is perfect.

Renovation neededPosted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: Position and exterior
Cons: Pretty much everything inside
The hotel is in a terrific position in Florence and walking distance to all the sites. First impressions are quite good but the rooms and common areas are in need of some fairly substantial upgrades. I fully expected the hotel to provide an aged experience which is one of the reasons I selected this property. However aged does not have to mean run down which unfortunately is the case here.

teuer aber gute LagePosted May 17, 2015
Pros: gute Lage

perfekter Ausgangspunkt für TourenPosted May 8, 2015

Great hotel fro sightseeingPosted Apr 13, 2015
Staff were extremely friendly, recommended a fabulous restaurant for the evening. Rooms were quiet although in a busy part of town. Lots of restaurants and very close to a big market. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel very close to the Duomo!Posted Apr 9, 2015
Pros: The staff and the location.
Cons: Provision of fans during the months they switch of their air conditioning.
Location: It's very close to the duomo. A good restaurant to try that on the same street as this hotel: Antica Trattoria da Tito. Amazing food & people.
The hotel is very close to the Duomo. It's cozy and has a decent breakfast selection every morning. The staff is very friendly and helpful. My room was on the top floor(3rd) and was built in what is possibly the attic (total of 4 rooms on that floor). The bed, bathroom, closet etc were great for the price and location. My only wish is that they would have fans during the months they switch their air conditioning off. The room had a small window which could be opened & closed with a switch (similar to sun roofs in cars). The room got very hot during the day, even though its early April and chilly. It took forever to cool down at night and we had to request they switch off the heat in our room. I left the window open every night, but the noise from the street was loud. People talking/laughing out loud at 3am on their way home or even garbage pick up trucks driving past were extremely loud. If you're a light sleeper, request a room that's away from the street.
