Pleasant Hotel in fantastic locationPosted Nov 8, 2014
Very nice hotel with pleasant staff. A little difficult to enter or exit from the street with bags as there is no lift to get to the hotel reception. The hotel staff will help with bags and a lift will get you to your room level. Rooms are spotless and everything needed is there. The location is near the train station, near the Duomo, "David" and all of the center of the city. Shopping is 100 meters. Restaurants are plentiful as well as sandwich shops and pizzerias. Just a great place to stay and the price is right.

Nice hotel good locationPosted Oct 17, 2014
Pros: great location friendly and helpful staff
Location: next to the train and bus station easy travel to Pisa and Pisa airport
Good, only trouble was that the breakfast room is far to small to cover the amount of rooms they have.

Pros: The entire hotel staff were delightful - accommodating, helpful and always in a good humor.
Cons: Nothing. The hotel has very small rooms, and nothing can be done about that.
Location: The hotel is on a pedestrian only street absolutely in the center of Florence and within an easy walk to everything.
We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed the pleasing breakfast, the friendliness of the staff and the excellent location.

Most friendly hotel staffPosted Oct 11, 2014
All hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. I am specially grateful to Emanuele. He helped me buy train tickets online. In addition, after finishing his long night shift, he went to train station with me and helped me communicate with ticket window agent when I needed to change my train tickets schedule. Thank you!

Hotel in FlorencePosted Oct 9, 2014
We originally booked a two night stay but needed to change our plans due to our son's schedule (he is stationed in Italy). We booked to "pay at the hotel" option. I was unable to change our departure date on the Expedia site as I would have had to cancel and rebook the stay at a higher rate and the rooms we had booked were not available. I spoke to an agent who called the hotel ( which agreed to the change) but when we arrived they claimed they had not received the change from Expedia. We eventually got it all worked out but I had to speak to three different people at the hotel. The hotel is small and difficult to reach if you are driving but the rooms were OK and Florence is beautiful. We were disappointed with the famous leather market - all of them have the same stuff and the prices are not that good. Go and see the statue of David - wonderful - and the food we had in Florence was much better than the food in Rome.

Conveniently located hotel with excellence servicePosted Oct 8, 2014
Pros: The continental breakfast was great. The WiFi worked well. Conveniently located.
Cons: The room colors seemed a little dull/institutional, perhaps a brighter color scheme.
Location: Great, convenient location near the Market District and Duomo.
This is a modest hotel with excellent staff, clean rooms, and great continental breakfast. The room was a bit more humble than the other hotels we stayed at, but still had the benefits of a room refrigerator and safe. We enjoyed our stay, and would stay there again.

Small hotel in great location in FlorencePosted Oct 5, 2014
Pros: Great location, and walking distance to train station and major attractions.
Cons: Fix the shower head fixture as the magnetic attachment keeps galling off. Also an easier way to get the luggage up to the first reception
Location: Train Station is nearby as well as the Duomo, Uffizi Gallery, many restaurants, and the market.
Stayed 3 nights at hotel Globus, and found the hotel acceptable. Main attraction for choosing this hotel is location. Near the main train station and walking distance to all major attractions, made it ideal base for short stay in Florence. The breakfast was simple and nice, with afternoon happy hour of wine and cheese all making the stay at the hotel very nice. The negatives about this hotel - needed to carry the luggage to the first floor reception as there are no lifts from street level. With two large suitcases to carry after walking from Florence Station this was a challenge and not very welcoming. Also the bathroom shower was broken and kept falling down, even after we ask for it to be fixed. The bathroom is very small, but I assume this would be the same for most hotels in Central Florence.

Good central locationPosted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: The location and friendly staff.
Location: Close to Santa Maria Novella station and most of the main sights within easy walking distance.
Had another great stay in beautiful Florence! First time at Hotel Globus. The hotel is located close to the train station just behind San Lorenzo church in a typically Florentine narrow street (no traffic) with bars and restaurants aplenty on the door step. The staff really were particularly friendly and the breakfast very good. My only criticism would be that the interior walls of the hotel were quite thin but nothing my earplugs couldn't handle. This was only noticeable early in the morning and not a problem if, unlike me, you get up at a reasonable hour! All in all I would recommend this hotel for the convenient location, excellent staff and very good value for money.

It's a good Hotel in a Good locationPosted Sep 5, 2014
The Hotel is good for the price and the location . the Breakfast is not that great as the options are very little , but over all I would stay here again as the location was the biggest advantage being close to the train station (no taxi required) and close to the main squares. although the hotel details says that the place has an elevator, it only starts on the second floor so you have to go up one floor, this is not an issue for me but while I was there a guest left as they were surprised and they had a disabled person staying in their room so this would not work for them
