“Good hotel, great location!”

Our stay in Hotel Goldoni was quite pleasant. The location is great (~10 minute walk from the Florence train station and other sites in Florence). We were easily able to walk everywhere with the hotel as a convenient base. The staff was all helpful and pleasant and spoke enough English for us to easily get by. The breakfast (included with the price of the room) was pretty good and left us full and ready to start each day. The only thing I didn't really like was that the bathroom was kind of dark and smelled a bit musty the first day. Other than that, we had a very pleasant stay and would definitely stay here again. The value was great for the price.

“Goldoni is a true treasure of Florence”

Located just two doors down from the birthplace of Amerigo Vespucci and from Ognissanti, one of the most reknowned churches in Florence, the Goldoni is a true little treasure. Just a few steps ( and the turn of a corner) from the Arno, it shares the neighborhood of the most expensive and exclusive hotels, but it is affordable and very pleasant on a small scale. We were delighted with the remade palazzo that contains the hotel and with the comfortable (but tiny) room. Breakfasts in a period dining room are excellent, suited to almost all tastes, and the room remains open all day with free internet service. The staff is unfailingly helpful and good humored. I would return without hesitation.

“Friendly, clean, great location!”

We found the hotel staff friendly and relaxed. Our room was large, clean, and comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and tasty. Hotel itself was easy to find and only 5-10 mins walk from the main piazzas and train station, yet still very quiet at night. Leaving our luggage with them for the day when we checked out was free of charge. Great place to stay! (Also there is a gem of a restaurant in the basement of the building directly opposite. Good prices, amazing food!)

“Charming Hotel! Charming Employees!”

We loved staying here so much that we cancelled one of our days in Rome so we could stay longer. The people who work there were extremely helpful in telling us how to get around. We especially loved the old, old elevator! Such a cool place!

“Great place to stay in downtown Firenze at a great price”

Hotel service was outstanding and the location convenient to visit all the major sites. It's close to the Arno River, 5 minutes from Ponte Vecchio. Might be a little hard to find, but once there it is well worth the stay.

“Great value”

Being within walking distance of the train station was a major factor in choosing Hotel Goldoni (about a 5-7 minute walk). Our triple room was small by US standards but totally adequate. The bathroom was larger that expected with modern accessories. We had a great stay in Florence and a lot of that was due to Hotel Goldoni.

“Great find for the price”

Hotel Goldoni was a great find. The price was right and it was in a great location (walking distance from everything). We arrived at 2pm and our room wasn't ready, so the staff held our bags and put them in our room when it was ready, while we went out. The hotel is a short walk from the train station and the Ponte Vecchio. The room was small, but comfortable, with a good sized bathroom. Breakfast was the usual European breakfast (minus the meats and cheeses).

“Good value, excellent location”

Hotel Goldoni was very clean and comfortable. The owner and workers were very pleasant and helpful. The breakfast was good, similar to a continental breakfast in the US. My only complaint was the size of our room. It was very small for two people. However, I did see that some of the other rooms with just one bed were larger. We had a room at the very back of the hotel. So the one good thing was that it far away from any lobby noise.

“Nice and close,”

The hotel is in good walking distance to Florence. If you are not too fussed on a lavish breakfast, and acres of space in the hotel then it's a good hotel for the money. However the original room we were put up, nothing could be "swung" in, we asked if there was anything bigger, and got moved 2 days later after the weekend rush. The hotel did as we asked, but I think we were very lucky to be staying the week, otherwise you would not want to spend much time in your room at all. Small hotel, 2nd floor - don't expect to have a nightcap in the hotel - but great/fantastic restaurants within 5 mins walking.

“I would stay there again”

Old, charming building with lots of character. Noisy if you stay by the street. You can walk to train station. Helpful staff.
