“Clean rooms, good breakfast and parking lot..”

Our 2 night stay in Hotel Golf was very satisfying. Rooms were clean and large. bed was comfortable. Bathroom was good. Breakfast was delicious and there was cheese. Hotel was not at the historical center but it was 15 - 20 minutes walk. I would recommend to whose have car.

“Friendly staff, breakfast included, clean room, free internet”

The staff was very friendly - provided great inputs into tourism and recommended places to eat. Allowed us to leave luggage after checkout for a few hours while we waited for our train in the evening. Breakfast was very good in the morning. Room is basic but clean and big, and has good security measures.

“Great hotel for couples and singles.”

the hotel has small rooms and small bathrooms, but the windows have double panes so the noise from the street is negligible, also the bathrooms are recently remodeled. Small tv screen but OK when you come back tired from a day walk. The biggest advantage is a private parking so you arrive from the expressway direct to the hotel and forget about parkings, very expensive in Florence. Also the vicinity to the railway station if you have friends coming to meet you is a plus. From the hotel you take a very quiet road behind the hotel, also safe at night and you walk exactly ten minutes to get to the pedestrian area of Florence. Close to the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio. I recommend Osteria dell'Oste very close to the hotel where you will enjoy the best beef steak "fiorentina" at reasonable bill with good Chianti. Breakfast in the hotel offers a good variety of items. Complimentary Wi-Fi in the rooms. And the hotel price is fantastic compared with other hotels in same area.

“Not bad”

I was overall satisfied with the hotel. The building is old, but the room was clean and comfortable. There was hot water and adequate climate control. It is a little hike to the train station and the main attractions. I would recommend the hotel.

“Hard as a rock bed”

The hotel itself was nice and well kept. The airconditioning is controlled by the front desk and only stays on for a few hours during the night. The bed was very hard and very unconfortable (i'm used to something much softer, but if you like a stiff bed this bed is for you). The bathroom more than made up for it, the shower in our room was large and plenty of hot water. Other rooms had a much smaller shower and strange configurations. Room size was small by US standards, but we were still able to move around. The hotel was fairly close to the train station (10 min walk) and short walk to major metro areas.

“Florence's Hotel Golf”

Holtel Golf was fairly conveniently located to the heart of Florence, Italy. It was very close to the train station. We chose this hotel because of it's location in relation to the center of Florence, as well as because it has a parking lot where we could park for free. The walk to the center of Florence was a good 15-20 minutes. The room itself was rather generic, but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was big and beautiful and very clean. The breakfast buffet was nice, though the coffee tasted like instant coffee. I probably wouldn't mind going back to this hotel; however, it was just a little far to walk back to after a long day of sightseeing. One good point, on the way back to the hotel were several streets with very good places to eat.

“Okay hotel, close to town”

This experience didn't knock my socks off. It was just okay. Parking is very limited. In fact, I had to park on the street in front of the hotel. The room was pretty clean, but there was mold on the bathroom ceiling--not impressive. The breakfast was pretty good, except for the fact that the clerk told us that we were already late and should "make it quick." This wasn't a bad deal, but I'm sure there are other area hotels that present a better appearance for the price.
