“Nice hotel on quiet street”

Room was cleaned and staff was very friendly and helpful. Didn't like shower which took over the whole bathroom. You could shower while sitting on the toliet. Floor was slippery afterwards and no counter room to put toliet articles on. Liked area away from the crowds of people.

“Wonderfully caring and well-cared for”

I stayed at this hotel for 7 nights observed staff treating one and all with respect, kindness and a great deal of consideration. I am fluent in Italian, so the staff with me in that language, but others needing assistance were cared for equally in numerous languages. Breakfast was ample and delicious, far beyond what I expected. The room was beautifully furnished and very comfortable.

“Nice and friendly!”

It was very nice and clean. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was good and fresh. Our room opened to a nice patio with little tables to relax and enjoy the sun and view. I would go back and recommend without any problems =) A little walk from the river and shopping but worth the distance!

“Satisfactory Holiday”

Nice clean single room. Adequate breakfast included. Competent and pleasant staff. Pleasant decor with bright room and old style furniture. Location is fairly close to main amenities. Bus service is not close to hotel.

“A good place to stay!”

The Granduca hotel is a family owned business. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. The hotel is walking distance from the city center, and the bus stop. They serve great breakfast, and Italy's best cappuccino! Our room happened to face the street, so we had a hard time sleeping at night because of the noise. The rooms are very clean, but they lack traditional towels. In all, this is a very friendly and clean place to stay.

“Good only for 1 night”

the owner is very nice, helpful and polite. the worst for us were the bad beds - old and uncomfortable. after a long day of walking and being outside you need a good rest and this beds give you nothing but pain. the bathroom is small and not quite smart arranged but functions. the windows are old and don't block the noise from the street.

“Long way from centre”

Hotel was about a 25min brisk walk from the historic centre of Florence in a quiet side street, so was not convenient to drop back to for a rest during the day - you have to stay out all day. The hotel was "OK" but dingy if not depressing - all brown and dull lighting. Small cafe nearby otherwise residential so nothing to do once back at the hotel - and no life or anywhere to relax in the hotel at all. However, good breakfast and friendly and helpful staff who spoke enough English.
