“Very Good Value & Service”

This was an excellent choice for a hotel in Florence. It was a great value and the front desk staff was extremely helpful and made the English-speaking traveler feel at home. The hotel was very clean and the air conditioning was great. The hotel was about a 30-minute walk to the center of town and a little further from the train station, but the price made it worth it.

Enjoyed the stay - the sheets were clean and neatly ironed, the bathroom clean and had a bidet, but the shower was a bit narrow and crammed, not closing properly. Walking distance to the Duomo and train station Florence Santa Maria Novella.

“Florence, nice place, reasonable rate”

It's not easy to find a nice place in Florence at a reasonable rate. Hotel Jane fills the bill very well if you are prepared to walk a little to see the sights. If you are really lucky as we were, you'll get one of their free parking spots right in front of the door. The buffet breakfast was generous, croissants, naturally, but also cereal, cheese, salami, juices, tea, and, of course, excellent coffee.

“A pleasant place to stay”

A comfortable,quiet hotel well positioned and only a 20 minute walk from all the sights. Every staff member was friendly and helpful...you can get your bus tickets at the hotel for no extra price...very handy.Take a bus to Piazza Michaelangelo for a classic view of the city. Ask the staff for details. La Luna restaurant is around the corner serving good food and a nice house wine by the jug. If you are stuck for a cup of tea and clean toilets try MacDonalds by the station. Be fearless when using road crossings....look the driver in the eye and walk out with purpose...don't let them intimidate you, they do give way. A nice,clean economic hotel for visiting a lovely city.

“A Little Gem of a Hotel”

After spending considerably more money on a hotel booked by my employer, the Hotel Jane was a welcome relief from an overpriced poor quality hotel. The Jane has small, but clean and well appointed rooms. The service is friendly and the breakfast is really rather good. The price is great value and it is very well positioned for both the city centre and the local neighbourhood. This is a fantastic little find for the budget traveller.

“Wonderful experience”

Very clean and friendly, short walk to city center along the River Arno. Tasty breakfast with a courtyard view and they will gladly make you a cappucino or espresso. Super friendly and very clean, with crisp sheets and fluffy towels. We would definitely return!

“would go back again”

this was our first time to florence & hotel jane booked through expedia,and wasnt disappointed, despite the mixed reviews from others,although the hotel is in the heart of florence and the street could be busy on occassions,we didnt find it overlay noisy,the room was a good size, clean,and to a good standard we stayed 10 days & the sheets and towels were changed every day and clean bins,the staff were welcoming and very helpfull and pleasant and helped us anytime we asked, the breakfast was typically continental, but had a very good selection.we dont have a bad word to say about this hotel and would go and stay there again...

“Overall - a good experience”

We arrived late evening. The hotel staff sent us to a local authentic Italian restaurant with good food. The room was small, as it seems all rooms are in Europe. The air conditioning was barely putting out any cool air. The breakfast was good, however, the hotel is short staffed in the morning so receiving your coffee is slow. We were fortunate to arrive when a parking spot out in front of the hotel was available, so we parked there for free. All of the sights we wanted to see were within walking distance. Our price was better than some other people who purchased their room through venere.com. We were a little concerned with the fact that the room keys are kept out in the open, and that several times when we passed the front desk the clerk was nowhere to be found.

“Good value in Florence”

Our quadruple room was very clean,spacious and comfortable. It even had a balcony with flowers which looked so Tuscan! Breakfast was excellent and so was their coffee! A bit of a hike to downtown Florence (20 min) but you get used to it after a day or so. Once you're in downtown, all the sights are within blocks of each other. Excellent choice for those driving into Florence as this hotel is outside of downtown and has a very secure garage around the corner for only 10 euro/day. Some of the front desk staff were not helpful and housekeeping gave us a hard time when we requested to check-out at 11:30 instead of 11 so we could go to Mass. Florence is my new favorite city in Italy, and when I go back I would definitely stay here again.

“Very very nice place”

It is really close to the center, just 10-15 min walk. Located in a residentual area, it is quite. There is a big supermarket nearby and most importantly a great restaurant called "La Tavetna", where you could have the best of the best of the Italian piza. It is a small place and only the locals know it. The lady from the hotel was nice enought to tell us about it.
