Great choice

Posted Jul 24, 2015
Pros: Overall experience was great.
Cons: A room that is slightly more bigger would be nice.
Location: Great location. Only problem was getting to the hotel from the train station when I first arrived.
Great staffs, great location to see Florence in a short amount of time. They also let me leave baggage so until 6pm after the check-out, which allowed me to see Florence so much more. When my tour guide didn't show up to pick me up at the hotel, I went to the reception for help and the staffs called the tour organization for me to arrange that. When I checked in, the lady also gave me a map and give me suggestions and directions for some sight seeing, which helped me a lot. There are many shops nearby, including grocery shop only two minutes walk away.

Nice Hotel

Posted Jul 23, 2015
Hotel Lorena is one of the best places I have stayed in Florence. Their rooms are clean and comfortable. The is staff are super friendly and always willing to help. Hotel Lorena is located within walking distance from major tourist attractions. I would definitely stay here again on my next trip to Florence.

GREAT HOTEL FOR THE MONEY

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: The price, location and staff.
Location: Very convenient to the major tourist sites.
Very close to the center of the city's major attractions and only steps from San Lorenzo Church, the area has lots of reasonable restaurants. The staff was very helpful and friendly. A very reasonable hotel for the price and the location and would stay here again when visiting Florence.

Great Location

Posted Jul 11, 2015
Pros: Basic but sufficient at a very reasonable price.
Location: Great location in the heart of San Lorenzo. Opposite the Medici Chapel (which is an ABSOLUTE must see!)
Cost was the biggest limitation for us so it was for that reason we picked Hotel Lorena. We had a basic room with a bathroom shared with 1 other room which was not a problem. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there's a great bistro opposite which had better choice for a reasonable price. Aircon was the life saver for us as we were there during the heat wave. Room 42 was a bit noisy at night, even with the windows closed but staying in such a busy, central location I feel it was just to be expected. The staff were friendly & helpful, the map they gave us was useful as was the handout on places to visit. I'd stay again if I came back to Florence.

Great stay in Florence

Posted Jul 6, 2015
Great location, easy walk to train station, close to the main tourist area of Florence. Plenty of space in room, has a queen sized bed and also a single bed to pile luggage on. Good internet, nice breakfast. Location in a very busy area, but never noisy.

Great location

Posted Jun 29, 2015
Pros: Location, staff were very helpful. Breakfast was very good value at €5. Coffee was good and unlimited, pastries, ham and cheese all good.
Cons: Pillows were very hard
Location: Cathedral, Academy, palaces and all main sights within easy walking distance
Great location. Fantastic soundproof windows - thank goodness as square below is buzzing. Close to railway station - we walked and dragged our suitcases - maybe 10 mins max. Good bar downstairs with free food at happy hour. Close to the cathedral and other sights. Rooms are vintage - which is Ok for the area and age of hotel. Bathrooms were OK and updated. Good water pressure.
