“Great hotel; great staff”

The front desk staff at this hotel was just superb. Our luggage was delayed by the airlines, and the hotel staff called the airline every few hours and kept us up to date. They recommended one great restaurant, Buca de Mario -- and another near the hotel that was OK. We were lucky enough to get a room with a truly fabulous river view. Everything about this place was wonderful. Overall, one of the nicest hotel experiences I've every had.

“Wonderful experience”

The hotel's staff was extremely tentative to your every needs. We can't wait to return and experience this region once more. The location was perfect and the transportation to the hotel was reasonable. We took the locate bus from the Florence airport but took a taxi when we left. The fares were fair and the hotel staff ordered the taxi for our departure. The experience and views from our hotel were awesome. Accessible to many cafes and the local restaurants. We will return soon!

“Beautiful hotel - best in Florence, my favorite city”

The hotel is gorgeous - "lobby" really feels like a living room. Sitting on the coach looking at the Ponte Vecchio is just about my favorite place to spend the early part of the evening (aside from the Palazzo Vecchio area). The lobby/living room has big comfortable white couches which are a dream to sit on. Music is also very good, as are the drinks (though they are pricey). Bedrooms are spacious, with antique Italian furniture -- beautiful! The whole place just has a lovely feel to it - comfortable and peaceful. I lived in Florence for 4 months while I was in college, so I'm well acquainted with the city. This really is my favorite hotel, in my favorite part of town.

“Fabulous Florence Experience”

Fabulous hotel. Intimate size but big enough to offer all services. Beautifully decorated, and well kept up. The mattresses are particularly comfortable. River views are breath taking. Location is great, just steps away from the Ponte Vecchio. Walkable to just about everywhere. Many restaurants of all price ranges within a few blocks. Service was excellent with the exception of no Concierge. Concierge duties are handled by the desk staff and occasionally they are busy with desk duties and fall a bit behind in the ticket and reservation work. I would rate Concierge service as good, not great. For me, the best combination of 4 star accommodations with river side location. I had an Expedia special rate that made this stay very affordable. We stayed 8 days, long enough to give a meaningful evaluation. I would go back again in a heartbeat.

A touch of luxury, beyond or expectations. We would recommend this hotel to any traveller. Staff made an effort to explain sites and recommend places of interest. Great location next to the Ponte Vecchio... Within walking distance from everywhere. Staff and to hotel were wonderful.

Having stayed in quite a few Florence hotels, this is easily the best.. Excellent staff, excellent location and very comfortable room. Wonderful views from the hotel. Spoilted however by loud obtrusive Music in the public rooms!
