Affordable Rooms near Heart of Florence

Posted Oct 3, 2012 on Hotels.com
We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the car rental agency we used (Avis) and its easy walking distance to the train station. Also the price of the room was very reasonable. The staff was very friendly and helpful - I give them top marks. The room however was just average. It was sparsely decorated, though not displeasing, and the bathroom was tiny and did not include a hair dryer. The hotel was clean and the included breakfast was pretty decent by Italian standards. In sum, this a good place to stay if you are concerned about walking distances like we were and are trying to keep expenses down. If you want a more luxurious experience and are willing to pay for it then Florence has many other hotels to choose from.

Excellent for enjoying Florence

Pros: Staff
Cons: Nothing really
Location: See above
Well located as near the station and and easy walk to rail and bus stations and places of interest. There are good shops in the next street and restaurants within easy walking distance. There are excellent staff who made our stay very comfortable, The street can be a little noisy but this was not an issue.

3 nights stay in Hotel Magenta

The bathroom was rather small, and the room was quite sparsely-furnished. No English channels on TV. Breakfast was a simple continental buffet. Receptionist and the waitress at breakfast were helpful and attentive.
