First class hotel!Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Already stated above
Cons: Addition of an elevator would be an improvement.
Location: Close to the Mercato and San Lorenzo Chiesa, also the Duomo and Santa Maria Novella Chiesa.
Located within blocks of SMN train station, this hotel rates higlhly when it comes to extra service, quiet room, secure premises and very accommodating staff. They really stand behind their 24 hour service, which I experienced when I needed to have breakfast at 4:00 a.m. before leaving Firenze. The breakfast was more than adequate, including hard boiled eggs for those who want more protein. I found most sites in Firenze within a comfortable walk, even though this area is on the northwestern edge of the city.

Quiet, authentic neighborhood, outside the bustle of the main historic district. But within convenient walking distance of everything. Friendly, helpful owners/staff. Room not the most comfortable, but the plumbing was the most up-to-date, reliable I experienced in Italy. Very clean, liked the tile floors versus musty carpet. two blocks walk to SMN Central train station, easy distance even dragging two bags across cobblestones.

Very friendly and helpful staff. A very cute HotelPosted Sep 27, 2014
Pros: Cute, very friendly and helpful staff, clean, plenty of hot water and good air conditioner and Wi-fi
Cons: A little more variety for breakfast.
Location: Close to train main train station (easy walking distance) Food, Leather markets just around the corner. Great restaurants on the same street.
We stayed at Hotel Marios for 7 nights. The highlight of our stay was the warm friendly and helpful staff. Even tho there are steps up to the front door your bags where carried up and down for you. A friendly welcome on your arrival home every day, even remembering your room number. Plenty of hot water and air conditioning good Wi-Fi connection. The staff had lots of helpful info for us for our stay on upcoming weather, closures, ticketing and much more. The Hotel was close walking distance to the Markets and main sites. Great Restaurant's on the same street. A very cute Hotel and all in all a very enjoyable stay.

Great locationPosted Sep 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
The staff were friendly, the location great and the rooms were clean. I would have appreciated a variation in the breakfast, as we were there for six nights, but it was adequate. I had some problem with the fact that there was only one socket location in the room being under a table with no mirror to use and a kettle that had a socket that needed to be held in until it boiled! The bathroom was poorly designed to dry and dress oneself without hitting the walls. A stand-alone shower instead of a tub would have given more room.

An overall great value stay!Posted Aug 31, 2014 on Hotels.com
What a lovely hotel …it is definitely worth the climb the few steps to get up to the main hotel area from the street level. It feels like authentic old world charm with the wood beamed ceilings and the stained glass windows and wooden latched shutters in your room that open up to let the rest of Florence in! Staff was exceptionally helpful and friendly and the warm croissants at breakfast were delicious! It was the best of value in our tour of Italy.
