Traditional and comfortable hotel

Posted Aug 4, 2013
Location: Being a couple of blocks off the main tourist frequented areas, and up a small one way street, it was beautifuly quiet and peaceful
Traditional and comfortable hotel. Service in the old fashioned way.

Beautiful gem in a beautiful city.

Beautiful friendly hotel. Beautiful rooms and decor, the room we were given was on the ground floor and came with its own private courtyard, lovely to retreat to after a long day out. It was very peaceful within the hotel often feeling like you were the only ones there, it was lovely. The whole hotel has a unique charm about it, almost felt like an extension of the history of the city. Not an ideal location but only a ten minute walk to the town centre, and through dong this saw some amazing sites of the city that were missed out on last time I visited as kept to the main 'tourist attractions'. We opted for just the room without the breakfast as neither of us are particularly early risers but they still offered a complimentary hot drink in the mornings, always served promptly and warm. The staff on the front desk were very helpful when we enquired about taxi's and a few other things, and overall left us with a great impression. Don't be put off by the graffiti covered walls on the street outside, it reflects nothing of the hotel.

Hotel Morandi in Florence

Posted Jan 5, 2012 on Hotels.com
The hotel is centrally located in Florence. The staff speak English and try to accomodate all of your needs. The pillows are hard and flat, but otherwise the sleeping accomodations are fine. The bathroom is roomy. The hairdryer is outdated. I would return and stay there again. Interesting history to the place. We stayed there a week and had no complaints.

Excellent Place to Stay in Florence

Posted Apr 15, 2010
This was the quietest hotel we stayed in while in Italy. The service was fantastic and the location was very convenient. It's a 5 minute walk to the Duomo but sits on a very quiet out of the way street. The street it's self isn't particularly pretty but the rooms are lovely and the convenience can't be beat. If you're a Veggie check out Vegitariano a few blocks away and there is a laundry mat 2 blocks from the Hotel.
