“Nice Trip”

Very nice Hotel and would go back on next trip. The only thing was that our room was on the 2nd floor facing a busy street and it was very noisy until late in the night. The air conditioning was not available in the off season or needed for temperature but it would have allowed us to close our windows to shut out the street noise. Request an inside court yard room which would take care of noise problem.

“Great location, good hotel”

We loved this hotel with the exception of the street noise below. Otherwise the condition of the hotel, the service, the cleanliness, and the comfort of the hotel were excellent. I would definitely stay at this hotel except that I would ask for a room off the street. breakfast was great!

“Could do better”

Bedrooms vary considerably in size and decor - if you want Renaissance ceilings, friezes, or four-poster bed (they do exist in some rooms) you need to ask for them specifically. Our room was plain, small but clean and quite adequate. Street-facing rooms subject to some noise from m/bikes and scooters. Breakfast is unimaginative and not four star standard - fruit straight out of tin and little choice; scrambled egg and bacon the only cooked items - egg cold, awash in liquid and contained black bits. Had to ask for more plates, cutlery, and a jug of mild to go with tea. Staff did respond to complaints and things improved marginally next day. Hotel well-placed for seeing Florence's attractions, though be prepared for trek from station to hotel for several hundred yards pulling cases down steps and across busy streets. Desk staff helpful with maps and advice, though train times given proved to be inaccurate. Good trattoria a few doors away.

“Convenient and functional hotel, friendly service”

Staff were helpful. The location is convenient. Street side is noisy. The bed is not very comfortable.

“Pleasant stay”

Street rooms noisy. Breakfast choices excellent. Short walk to most areas. Rooms good although new carpet was needed in our room. WiFi didn't work on our floor until the last day we were, but no problem downstairs. Overall , a very pleasant stay.

“Handy location”

This a great , clean hotel that was once a grand Florence Palazzo. An easy 5min walk from the station towards the centre of the old towm to this great little hotel. Rooms all differ in size and shape but both ours and our friends rooms had big comfortable beds and bathrooms that were modern and clean. Really friendly staff ,great location and free wi-fi throughout the hotel make this a great find.

“Mediocre in every sense of the word”

Although the Hotel Aprile had a fantastic location and family who have previously travelled there recommended it, we were given a room next to the lift and on the street so our stay over the 2007 festive period was a very noisy and sleep deprived one! The staff were not very friendly - especially the waiter in the dining room who made us feel as if we 'put him out' each morning by simply coming down to eat breakfast. The room itself was clean and comfortable but the replenishing of supplies such as soap and toilet paper were not always reliable.

“Would not stay here again!”

Stayed here for 3 nights in June 2011 because of others reviews, must say it was the one hotel in my 3 trips to Italy that I would never consider staying at again. Furnishings are very poor quality, very small rooms, location was acceptable (walkable distance to sights), breakfast buffet was decent, but it was too pricey for what you get. However, if you expectations are of equivalent to the old motel 6, you will be happy with your stay.
