Hotel in central Florence

Posted May 23, 2015
Pros: Location and views
Cons: Customer service, the hotel is in need of decoration, regular servicing of air conditioning units needed, hygeine standards could be improved.
Location: Central location within easy reach of main sites. Very much enjoyed visiting the Boboli and Bardini gardens on the other side of the river.
The room was pretty basic and in need of decoration. We had asked for a double bed but they provided twin beds pushed together. The air conditioning did not work for the first few days and we were bitten a lot by mosquitos in the room. We asked to move rooms but were told there were none even though they were available to book on line. Eventually after much discussion they agreed to service the air conditioning unit after which the unit worked well. The fridge did not work well . The views are good from the breakfast room overlooking the city centre and duomo and the breakfast was reasonable. The hotel is ideally situated within easy walking distance of all the main sites in central Florence. Quiet at as long as you keep the double glazed windows closed. This hotel is classified as a three star but in reality is 1-2 stars.

Hôtel très agréable

Posted May 11, 2015
Hôtel très agréable, proche de tous les lieux a visiter de Florence. Petit déjeuner copieux avec une belle vue. Chambre 8 donne sur la rue: un peu bruyant le matin avec passage de beaucoup de bus. Personnel très poli et gentil.

A wonderful holiday in Florence

Posted May 10, 2015
Pros: The staff made this a very memorable and enjoyable holiday. The art work shows real creativity and is fun and colourful. The breakfast was yummy.
Cons: Nothing could be improved.
Location: The location is by the Piazza San Marco and easy to walk to the Academia, the Duomo, the Station, the Uffuzi, the Arno and everywhere.
We arrived at the hotel which is centrally located to walk around all of Florence. The staff were fabulous and very friendly. Our room was very clean, the bed and mattress were comfortable, the shower easy to use, local olive oil toiletries and the view was breath taking and the church bells filled the air. The air conditioning in the room was quiet, rooms sound proof and perfect. Breakfast is self service with delicious home made breads, quiches, and lots of coffee types to choose from. The breakfast room has a wonderful view of the Duomo and Florence and the staff friendly and helpful. There is a terrace also with this wonderful view of Florence at which to relax. All the staff spoke English which helped us as our Italian is poor and made recommendations of places to go and restaurants at which to eat. The holiday experience was made wonderful by the hotel facilities, location, and most of all the staff!

3 Night Stay in Florence

Posted May 9, 2015
Pros: The location and character and the panoramic views.
Cons: In my opinion there is nothing about this hotel which could be improved. A word of note! As the hotel has no pavement frontage it can easily be missed
Location: Superb location for walking to all the tourist sites and taking in the views. Wonderful street musicians in the evening add to a wonderful experience.
Situated approx. 10 mins. by bus from either Santa Maria Novella or Campo di Marte Train Stations, the Panorama Hotel, which occupies the 2nd., 3rd. and 4th. floors of an old building in via Cavour provides an excellent base for visitors to Florence, being a 10 min . walk to the cathedral, 20 min. to Uffizi Gallery and 25 mins. to Ponte Vecchio. Breakfast room on the 4th. floor affords views over the rooftops towards the cathedral. Buffet Breakfast offers a good choice of items sufficient to satisfy any appetite. My en-suite, air conditioned room was a good size, was impeccably clean and had all the amenities for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. For its central location, this hotel represents good value for money. Staff are welcoming, polite and helpful.

Good Location, nice room size and bathroom. Didn't like at all the two twin beds put toghether, te gap was awful. The looks of the room, fine. The hotel starts in a second floor and breakfast is in the fourth, not very confortable cause there's just one elevator.

Week end a Firenze

Posted Apr 27, 2015
Hotel molto carino e pulito a 10 minuti a piedi dalla stazione. Camere spaziose anche se molto spartane, vista dei tetti della città meravigliosa. Personale e proprietari simpatici e cortesi. Colazione ricca e completa
