Posted May 27, 2015

Pros: Everything.
Cons: Bathtub/shower was not convenient for seniors' safety.
Location: Near everything from Duomo, to Uffizzi.
Older building, with quality in center city. They have a helpful staff that aim to please. Great varied breakfast, in beautiful setting. Large older room with modern bath.

Would choose a different hotel

Posted May 19, 2015
Our stay was disappointing from the beginning. I booked this hotel in late-January for our April 2015 stay. I emailed the hotel to request a specific room (I liked the picture on the websie & paid for a superior room purely because I hoped to get the room in the picture). They emailed back and said they would do their best. When we arrived at the hotel, we were told that check-in was at 2 p.m., but if we wanted the room we requested, we would have to wait until 4 p.m. We agreed to wait. We put our bags in their unattended & unlocked baggage room and left for the day. We returned at 3:50 p.m. and inquired about the room. I was told that it was not 4 p.m. yet. At 4:05 p.m., we were told that the reason we had to wait in the first place was because they were painting the exterior door to the hotel room. We were asked if we wanted to try to get into the room even though the doors were still slightly wet with paint. We did. We were told that we could use the elevator in the baggage room to move our bags to our room. The elevator was difficult to use, but once we got it to go to the baggage room, it left us off 1 set of steps too high for our floor & we had to carry our bags down to our floor. When we got into the room, it smelled strongly of incense - it was coming from the curtains. The room was as it looked in the pictures. The bed was uncomfortable, hard, and 2 twin/single beds pushed together. The wifi did not work at all. The staff were friendly.

Hotel Paris, Florence

Posted May 18, 2015
Pros: Everything
Cons: Irons to be available as clothes are creased after travelling.
Location: 5 minute walk from Duomo, 5 minute walk from train/bus station. 10 minute walk from Ponte Vecchio.
Amazing is all I can say! The staff are friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. They ensure your stay is pleasant. The hotel is in the middle of the city centre and is within easy walking distance of major tourist attractions and restaurants and shops. The only down side was no iron available, but that was a tiny matter. I will take a small travel iron in future. The rooms are air conditioned and extremely spacious and very quiet, we never heard anything from adjoining rooms the whole stay. I loved this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again in future. 10/10 all day long.

Posted May 8, 2015

Nice historical hotel in the heart of Florence

Great location with easy access to train station andcity centre; both are walking distance away. Lovely hotel with super high ceiling due to being a former palace. Could do with some modernisation, but overall a good experience.

Great location.

The hotel location is great. The room we had faced a very noisy road. We asked for a quiet room but the request was not honoured. The staff and breakfast were lovely. The hotel is comfortable but could use some updating.
