Ideal locationPosted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Everything - it is a little haven in a hectic world
Cons: Nothing really
Location: About 10-15 minutes on foot from the main attractions in Florence, this is the perfect combination of a comfortable bolt hole and an ideal location.
This hotel overlooks a pretty little park which, considering that it's not far from the centre of the city, is remarkably tranquil. Everything seems to run on oiled wheels by staff who are friendly but not intrusive and it would definitely be top of my list to go back to.

Elegant & Quiet HotelPosted Oct 20, 2014
A very good hotel and just the right distance from Florence town centre. The hotel has attentive staff and a very nice quiet location with only a short walk to all the main attractions, restaurants and bars. My only criticism of the hotel would be that it is a little expensive for lunch and dinner and their is no real bar area.

Nice hotel - clean and comfortablePosted Sep 22, 2014
Pros: Hotel staff very helpful. The hotel itself is situated in a quiet part of Florence. Complimentary breakfast was excellent.
Cons: Bathrooms were quite small, so were the rooms themselves. No armchairs - just a table and 2 chairs, so it wasn't all that comfortable to watch TV.
Location: In a quiet area of Florence, yet not too far from the center of activity (5 to 7 minute walk)
Old-fashioned hotel. Very clean, but with small rooms, even smaller bathrooms, and no elevators. Ambience was very nice, with a comfortable, covered outdoor area for afternoon drinks, etc., and a well-designed dining area. Staff was very helpful.

We stayed at the Hotel Regency for 2 nights. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The bathroom is on the small side but the shower was very large. Our room faced the street and it was very quiet at night. We had breakfast in the dining area and it was very good, eggs, meat, croissants, cheeses and fresh fruit, and cappuccino. Everything was first class. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. They booked dinner reservations, tour guides and taxis upon requests. We also emailed them ahead of time and they responded very quickly. We never ate dinner in their restaurant so I can't comment on that. The hotel really captured the quaintness of Florence being located close to many attractions. I would highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
