Great locationPosted Apr 6, 2015
Pros: The decor. Tastefully done.
Cons: The air conditioning in the room was not hooked up. It only served as a heater.
Location: Hop on hop off bus tour is always good. Art galleries. Fiesole is a must - Tuscan hill town. Forget the mall - waste of time.
An excellent hotel ideally located a short 5 min walk to the town centre cathedral which is probably the absolute town centre. It's away from the hustle and bustle but close enough to all the action. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent but we didn't manage to eat lunch or dinner at the hotel. We did regret that because the menu looked great. Would definitely visit again.

Nice hotel in quiet part of FlorencePosted Apr 2, 2015
Pros: Quiet and close enough to the city centre. Staff were very polite and eager to please.
Cons: Early morning use of the service lift should be avoided
Location: Lots of restaurants in the city, if you take your time you to choose will find some that are very good
The Regency was well presented, as were the staff. We had a junior suite, which was reasonably large, but not overly comfortable. The bathroom was a good size and well equipped. Our room was at one end of the building and next to a service lift, which was used early in the morning and a little noisy. Food in the hotel was of a reasonable quality but the menu was not extensive. The hotel is located in a very quiet part of Florence about fifteen minutes walk from the Piazza del Duomo. There are a couple of nice restaurants quite close (en route to the Duomo) but most of the buildings in the immediate area are very large and appear to be residential (albeit, in a lot of instances, very grand). A small park in front of the hotel is used a lot by locals to walk their dogs, play football or simply sit and talk. It was clean and opened up the area, but it was not somewhere I wanted to spend any time in.

great find in quiet areaPosted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: It was luxurious but not pretentious and the staff was courteous and helpful.
Cons: Can't think of a thing.
Location: We were visiting our daughter who was studying in florence so chose it because it was close to her. But we walked everywhere we had to be.
The hotel was perfectly located for where we had to be. It was beautiful and very comfortable with pleasant staff. It was spacious with a great roomy bathroom for European standards and an extremely comfortable king size bed. Best of all it was quiet so we slept amazingly well! All the sights were a 10 to 15 minute walk but we returned to our quiet area after the rush and crowds of Florence. Breakfast was great overlooking a lovely courtyard. I would definitely go back again,

Lovely Hotel and surroundings.Posted Apr 1, 2015
Pros: We thought all the staff was fantastic especially Leonardo Bruni on reception. He was so pleasant and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble.
Cons: The only disappointing thing we found was no tea coffe making facilities, which we love. We take a small travel kettle with us, but 9/10 of hotels hav
Location: We managed to walk every where. About 10 mins into centre. Hop on Off Bus fanastico.Would recommend. The centre fab. BUT GRAFFITI EVERWHERE HORRIBLE!!
This my our first time in Italy, Florence. This was my husbands 65th birthday, so special occasion . On our arrival in a taxi from the station. We was greeted on the pavement by a member of staff, which we thought was very nice. After filling in a form, and given various information on a map that was given to us, telling us of places of interest. We was then taken to our room. Which was very pleasant and over looked the garden at the back.

A wonderful surprise. Beautiful, relaxing.Posted Mar 30, 2015
Pros: Excellent service. Good location. Good breakfast buffet. Staff pay attention to the little things. It was a pleasure to come "home" end of day.
Location: 20-30 minute walk to main tourist district. Park across street. Small grocery store two blocks away.
We got an excellent rate on Expedia (basically stole it) but were treated same as all other luxury guests. Service excellent and personal. Room cleaned at least twice a day. Staff helpful with the day to day advice and then went above and beyond. We were stranded with airline strike and the hotel staff, particularly Leonardo, were pillars of patience and good service. I felt taken care of and my stress levels disappeared because I was in good hands. He helped with phone calls and on-line searches to make travel arrangements. He negotiated an excellent rate for our extended stay - couldn't match Expedia but still gave us a really good deal. I would stay there again in a heart beat. Leonardo also ensured that a bad experience with our airline in the last couple days did not ruin our entire experience.

PERFECTPosted Mar 17, 2015
We had a short break in Florence - after days spent walking miles and doing touristy things it was lovely to return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and superb meal. Staff were amazing nothing was too much trouble. Location was great within walking distance of everything without being in the centre of town. Would definitely stay at the Regency should we return to Florence

Ideal locationPosted Oct 23, 2014
Pros: Everything - it is a little haven in a hectic world
Cons: Nothing really
Location: About 10-15 minutes on foot from the main attractions in Florence, this is the perfect combination of a comfortable bolt hole and an ideal location.
This hotel overlooks a pretty little park which, considering that it's not far from the centre of the city, is remarkably tranquil. Everything seems to run on oiled wheels by staff who are friendly but not intrusive and it would definitely be top of my list to go back to.

Elegant & Quiet HotelPosted Oct 20, 2014
A very good hotel and just the right distance from Florence town centre. The hotel has attentive staff and a very nice quiet location with only a short walk to all the main attractions, restaurants and bars. My only criticism of the hotel would be that it is a little expensive for lunch and dinner and their is no real bar area.
