Great Florence location and friendly staffPosted Jul 4, 2014
I stayed at Hotel Sampaoli with my two children in June 2014. The hotel staff were very welcoming and it felt more like a home than a hotel. It is a budget hotel which is what I prefer so you do have to share a bathroom but we never had to wait for a shower. They let us stow our bags after we checked out but still wanted to tour the city some more and gave us a key to the front door so we could grab them in case they were not at the reception when we came. No breakfast was provided but there were many bars/cafes to grab a quick, cheap meal. The location was a 10-min walk to the train station and a 5-10 min walk to the major sites (two blocks from the Accademia, the museum that houses Michelangelo's David). We had a quiet room in the back overlooking a courtyard but I did notice that the rooms facing the street might get some noise from a very popular Greek restaurant next door. I would definitely stay there again. Not for people expecting a Hilton or the equivalent.

They're Getting there...Posted Oct 24, 2013 on Hotels.com
Decent location, friendly hostess and room big enough but because new in hotel business room not have chair, table, enough coat hangers, glass etc...ok I don't mind but then asking £120 for two nights in cash only seems bit cheeky, next night cheaper by Pontevecchio for less and far smartes and comprehensive fittings. No reflection on nice girl starting out...

Great location, friendly, helpful staffPosted Nov 16, 2011 on Hotels.com
I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff was so helpful in helping me find things and went out of their way to be accommodating. It's a great location, just watch that you don't miss the turn onto their street. It's not well marked, so keep on eye out for going too far! My room had a private bath and was not fancy, but beautifully Italian. There was even a little balcony. Adorable! They have wifi and my room had a TV (although I never turned it on). An inexpensive place that will have everything you need!

Sampaoli - affordable and nicePosted Sep 20, 2011 on Hotels.com
A nice hotel with all we required. It is up a few flights of stairs though, which is annoying when you've got big bags. Our room was right beside reception but we didn't have any problems with noise. It was in a good location - very close to the Accademia Gallery.
