Great location

Great location, great room, great service. We are seasoned travellers and know that accomodation in Europe can be a bit hit and miss. We loved our room including the journey from the foyer to get there (change lifts at level 2). We overlooked SM Square from level 5 and the sound proofing worked well. We travelled with our one year old who enjoyed his stay too.

Just right

Posted Jun 29, 2014
We stayed here last week for 3 days it was really great. Above everything else I commend the staff for being so warm and friendly. They always had a smile on their faces and were beyond helpful with our awkward questions about how to get to the supermarket and other such things. The hotel itself was beautiful, tidy and cosy. The rooms were a tiny bit dark but we more than survived. The location - perfect (I can't stress how close it is to everything), The roof terrace - fantastic, the breakfast - AMAZING.... and then we got free wifi as well???!! We were tempted to never leave.

Very nice hotel in beautiful piazza

Posted Jun 19, 2014
Pros: Location, size of room, cleanliness, helpfulness of staff, view of square
Cons: Nothing to improve....it was everything they promised.
Location: Santa Maria Novella church is just across the square and it is a must see...awesome architecture and art inside.
Stayed for my 30th wedding anniversary and had a room on 5th floor over looking Santa Maria Novella Piazza. The room was spacious and very well equipped and the staff was awesome. The room was always spotless and the cleaning staff was very attentive. It was exceptionally hot in Florence (33 degrees Celsius) and the AC was plenty strong enough to keep things cool. Breakfast was included and was very nice. Location is close to train station for easy day trips but stilll an easy walk to all the areas of Florence. Pretty pricey by US standards but seemed in line with other hotels that I compared it with in Florence.

Good experience.

Pros: Hotel in excellent location.
Cons: More signs in hotel as got lost several times. Rooftop terrace could be improved.
Exceptional room. Large with spacious bathroom and great views of the square. Only bad part was restaurant recommendation from front desk staff- she gave us bad advice to go to local restaurant which was extremely expensive and food not very good.

The hotel had a great location close to the Florence train station, and within walking distance of many sites. The room was large, clean, and comfortable, and complimentary breakfast was delicious!

Wonderful hotel on a convenient location

Great hotel 5 minutes from train station. Room was good sized, very comfortable bed, & the bathroom was very large with a large shower with a rainhead fixture. Good variety of choices for breakfast. Wait staff & desk personnel very polite & helpful. Conveniently located.

Good - but not outstanding - option

Posted May 14, 2014
Pros: Location, breakfast, customer service.
Cons: Signage to help with locating it, as well as the beds/pillows.
Location: Easy way to the Duomo and many restaurants. Everything in town is readily accessible.
We had a pretty good stay here. My biggest criticism is that it's incredibly difficult to find, as the signage at the hotel is virtually non-existent. And, when we checked in with the tourist information office in the center of the plaza, they were very rude and unhelpful. That said, once we got to the hotel, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and we had a pretty good stay. The breakfast was excellent, and the location proved to be very convenient. Both of us noted that the mattresses/pillows weren't very comfortable, although we went there to sightsee, not sleep!
