Nice but expensivePosted Mar 18, 2014
It's a great location and the room was beautiful but it was very expensive. My daughter had to stay on a pull out couch that was in poor condition. For the price we paid, I expected a little better. The room was clean, the breakfast was good and the staff was pleasant. So overall, it was nice. Don't think I would stay there again. I would look for a cheaper place that can accommodate 3 people.

Beautiful hotel in city centrePosted Feb 9, 2014
Beautiful hotel in a very central location. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Best 4* hotel I have stayed in, almost closer to a 5*. Stayed in a superior room with a view which had a great view onto the piazza. Lovely marble bathroom. Only problem was bed was 2 singles pushed together rather than a double, so be sure to ask for a 'letto matrimoniale' if you want a double bed.

Excellent hotel close to the train stationPosted Jan 15, 2014
Top shelf hotel close to the train station in the next piazza over from the station which was much less busy than the station piazza. Minutes from the Duomo and all major sites. The room was beautifully decorated and extremely clean. Bathroom had a rainshower and hand shower. Breakfast. Had good variety and pleasant service.

Excellent Customer ServicePosted Jan 2, 2014 on Hotels.com
The hotel was in a great location. Front desk service, breakfast staff and rooms were all above par. if you are a light sleeper do not stay in room 221. It is above a pub and the music does not end at midnight.

Florence Short Break.Posted Dec 30, 2013
Pros: Absolutely fabulous, what wonderful, helpful, happy staff. We did see negative comments about warren of corridors - ignore this. It is beautiful.
Cons: More hooks in bathroom for hanging bathrobes. Another mirror in bedroom.
Location: Central location, less than 5 minute walk to Duomo. Easy to walk to Uffizi and Galleria del Accademia. Close to top class shopping boutiques.
A wonderful city to explore for a short break. It is very easy to walk around, with all the main sites being within easy reach of one another. Plenty of choice of restaurants, but we would suggest you use suggestions from Trip Advisor as there are many wonderful family owned establishments tucked away from tourist haunts. We used London City Airport to fly directly to Florence. A bit of work to get there in the UK, but that depends on where you live, but the benefits when in Italy outweigh the work in the UK. Taxi to city centre was a 20 minute drive and cost 22 Euros. Pisa, the normal airport for Florence, is an hour and 20 minutes away by road (I don't want to think of the taxi cost!!). You definately don't need a car in central Florence.

We had two adjoining rooms, each with its own bathroom, which was very convenient for a family vacation. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The location was excellent. It was only a 5-10 minute walk to the major tourist attractions.
