“Good place for good price”
Small hotel in the center, 10-15 minutes walk from the Dom. Friendly staff. Breakfast is good, thought the variety of meals is not huge. Room was clean. The bathroom was probably bigger then the room itself. The room looked to a street, if you kept the window open you could hear the traffic. It is good value for acceptable price.
“good hotel for stay”
Very nice hotel, good location, the room was new and clean. The breakfast was very good.
“good hotel”
good location, pleasant staff, nice and clean room. Cons: no working computers onsite, always humid in room, staff reluctant to make museum reservations for us. Overall nice stay though!
“very good hotel with reasonable price”
the hotel is very comfortable, and the people are so friendly and cooperative.
“Not a good value for the price”
The hotel, as advertised, is not far from the train station, but the street has narrow sidewalks and in May, 2008 there were several construction scaffoldings over the walkways. When we found the hotel, the man behind the reception desk appeared to be preoccupied and looked annoyed when we asked any questions. The elevator was very small, barely holding one of us at a time with luggage, and you needed to manually open a heavy metal door to access it. The room was fairly small and faced the street, so there was a lot of traffic noise until late in the night. Breakfast was adequate, but not memorable. On the second day we found a pleasant young lady behind the desk who was very helpful and went out of her way to assist us in finding a particular store for shopping, so we could not judge the entire staff by our initial reception. The hotel is only a fairly short distance from the Duomo and Campanile, and the city of Florence is small enough that we were able to walk to all the major sites from there, but I would not call the hotel "centrally located".
“Disappointed”
Does not hold hold its promises. You do not get what you have paid for. This hotel is definitely overrated in your agenda. The proximity to the city center is the only positive aspect besides the friendly staff for breakfast. The rest like friendliness and attendance of the reception staff is just a disgrace. They can really make you feel inexistent, kind of being transparent. The rooms are generally very tiny, The TV program availability very restricted, The noise from the street disturbing, In short: not recommendable
“To little for to much”
The hotel wasn't horrible, but for the price i might as well have been staying in a hostel. Every hotel i stayed at in Italy was grossly over priced for what i recieved. i will never book hotels over hostels again, the hotel is not any better, just costs a lot more!
“the air condition sucks”
the hotel is right next to the station and a close walk to the duomo and other attractions. it is a nice looking hotel. the problem is that the air condition in the room sucks and there is absolutely no ventilation. i am extremely dissapointed also because, when offered another room, the conditions were the same. the hotel overlooks a busy street and that is a problem at night.
“nice surprise”
great location, good staff, having been to Florence several times we were used to staying in 4 star hotels but this hotel was great for a quick 2 night stay.
